What Is Global Warming?
In this paper we will be doing a critique on National Geography’s article "What Is Global Warming?" National Geographic has been around for many years. There is not one author that wrote this article, but it is a collaboration from some of the world’s best scientists, photographers, journalist, and filmmakers. These articles are pro-science articles which means, “These sources consist of legitimate science or are evidence based through the use of credible scientific sourcing. Legitimate science follows the scientific method, is unbiased and does not use emotional words. These sources also respect the consensus of experts in the given scientific field and strive to publish peer reviewed science (Media Bias/ Fact Check, 2018).” I believe with the intense research done from the organization and the mass amounts of people involved they have high accounts of qualifications. They work to make the best scientific evaluation that gives no better reference to what is going on in the world today.

Will Pollution End Us?
With the way we are going with carbon dioxide pollution saturating the air, will the world begin to expel us to cleans itself? Will we, as people, learn to respect the earth in time to reverse what we have one? Is there a time frame that we must go by before it is too late? Many questions can be asked regarding the climates changing rapidly and pollution covering cities to the point of the smog blocking the sun from visibility. What can we do, how can we help, where do we start? In my opinion we need to start soon before it is too late.

Operation 36-AB
It's the night of the mission. There are exactly 72 crew members on deck, 11 oxygen tanks, and an abundance of mysteries to be solved. Operation 36-AB was almost in session. It was Tuesday, the first of October. The seas crashed upon the ship like fire attacking fresh wood, the moon barely peeking out behind the clouds.

First Contact
When it comes to thinking about first contact scenarios we tend to default to imagining humanity versus a more advanced alien race. Typically this comes in the form of massive spaceships orbiting the earth, hovering above our cities and counting down the hours until they attack. It’s the Independence Day scenario, or more recently Arrival, a film that gives this trope a new, more conscientious spin. In Arrival the Septopods arrive on Earth, and it is us who are on the brink of hostility towards them, rather than them being a clear threat to us. In the film Avatar, it is us who are the more advanced race, and while we don’t see our first contact scenario with the Navi, it is this angle that I want to explore; human supremacy over the other; a scenario that we have actual evidence to draw from.

Amazon Prime Blunder Releases New ‘Doctor Who’ Episode Days Before Its Premiere. Top Story - November 2018.
Doctor Who Series 11 has taken off on a high start with the viewing figures for the opening episode “The Woman Who Fell to Earth” now exceeding 11 million viewers. The series penned by new showrunner, Chris Chibnall, and a mix of other new writers, has so far gained very mixed reviews within its fanbase. You either love it or you hate it. There doesn’t really seem to be an in between. Series 11 episodes 1-5 were written by Chibnall (apart from episode three where he co-wrote with Malorie Blackman), which has done some damage, as people can’t adjust to his writing, with a large majority of fans branding Chibnall’s episodes this series as mediocre.

Hong Kong 97
March 1997. The handover was fast approaching, and Hong Kong’s long history of British rule was coming to an abrupt end, for the worse or better? Who knows! Mainland China was itching to replace what they deemed colonialism with yet more colonialism. But China was more interested in Hong Kong being a key financial sector and they wanted and needed the wealth of the region so they could then claim to the world that communism was actually working in an era where the Russians had finally got bored, bottled it and embraced Capitalism once again (well they did kinda fuck it all up).
