At Police HQ DCI Damian Diabolik sat behind his desk, surrounded by glass walls that allowed him to watch all his staff, something he did with diligence every day. He ran a very tight ship. If someone spent too long visiting the toilet, he docked their credit. Today, however, he was troubled. Another elderly person had been reported missing and her whole family along with her. She had been due to be euthanised as per state requirements because of the development of treatment-resistant arthritis but she was a no show. Ordinarily it wouldn’t have concerned him. Some elderly people got frightened, tried to flee and were later found by his department, cowering in somebody’s attic. This time, however, he was rattled. There had been at least a dozen disappearances in the last six months alone. Every police department in the country was reporting missing elderly people, or people who had developed disabilities. Inexplicably, young couples also seemed to be vanishing and this puzzled him exceedingly.

As a bisexual man, I take notice when a bisexual character appears on film or TV. Bisexual characters are still uncommon, male ones particularly. It's something I've looked at in other articles lately, and there has been some positive bi-representation in recent years, but it's still a rarity. When a bisexual person appears on our screens, more often than not, their sexuality is presented as an indication that there's something wrong with them. Bi characters are more often than not villains, creeps and weirdos, in sf media especially. Frank N. Furter is, although a pop culture icon, a corrupting alien force. Sharon Stone plays a cruel, manipulative bisexual in Basic Instinct. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy's relationship is portrayed as positive, but they're still a pair of murderous villains. On Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Willow progressed from straight relationships to exclusive lesbianism, but only her evil vampire parallel universe counterpart was bi (of course, prime Willow went evil for a bit as well, so I guess she was just bi enough).

Everyone stopped the party and took off to see what the guards were yelling about. When they all got outside of the dance hall, they saw at least a hundred rogues and her so-called father standing in front of them all. All the council members are in the dance’s front hall with several warriors at the bottom of the stairs. Council member Jerry looked at Algonquin with distaste. The other showed disrespect. The once-great Algonquin had everyone’s respect and now he has no one’s. How the mighty have fallen.

Why Me?
He Showed Up Kenda Pov I have spent the last three days wondering who this person is that supposed to show up here soon. I have had so much going on, but yet I couldn’t stop wondering about him. Would he be the one I am really meant to be with, or just someone who will be an advisor in my court. How will I know which one I am supposed to choose out of the three that think I am their mate when I haven’t put my scent out there? I guess I will smell their scent to know who my mates are. It will give me time to get to know them as a person and then me. It will keep the mating bound at bay so we can know each other like humans. I think that would be best. I need to know them without the mating bound getting in the way so I can make the right choice for everyone. My people need me to be wise and honest and dependable. I will call on the Moon Goddess later to see what she can tell me about all three so-called mates. Get some help in how I know which one is the right one. Then on top of it all I have to worry about the war that Algonquin wants to start, because he wasn’t able to kill me and take my powers. He has a mate in the dark witches coven and they have two children that he thinks will rule. He has another think coming if he thinks I will stand for that. We don’t want to be set back to the dark ages, we all want to move forward. Then to top it all off you have everyone wanting to make me Queen and my pack the royal pack. When I set out to make a difference, I didn’t imagine this. This is way more than I thought I would be or become. I am just amazed at it all. I thank the Moon Goddess for it all and the people in my life that has helped make all of this come true. I need to get some training down with the warriors and anyone else you wanted to join today.
