Why Me?

Party Crasher

As Kenda and Aiden danced, there came a commotion from outside the territory that had many of the guards yelling for help. Everyone stopped the party and took off to see what the guards were yelling about. When they all got outside of the dance hall, they saw at least a hundred rogues and her so-called father standing in front of them all. All the council members are in the dance’s front hall with several warriors at the bottom of the stairs. Council member Jerry looked at Algonquin with distaste. The other showed disrespect. The once-great Algonquin had everyone’s respect and now he has no one’s. How the mighty have fallen.

“I see there was a party, and I wasn’t invited to it. I want to know why?” Algonquin asked.

“You are no longer an Alpha. That is why you were not invited.” Council, Matt replied.

“I am still an Alpha, just because that bitch tried to get rid of my wolf and I had to go to a black witch to get it back and stronger than ever. I came to finish what I started with her. None of you will stand in my way.” Algonquin announced.

“Do you think we will stand here and let you hurt your future Queen with your dark magic? She is what is kind and the others need for our races to grow and survive. Not go back to the dark ages like you want us too.” Council Jerry yelled.

“You can make her Queen. That would go against everything that we stand for. Men are to rule, not a woman. She is not fit to rule over anything.” Algonquin replied.

“If a woman isn’t meant to lead then why is the moon Goddess, our mother is a woman who leads. What about her? The mother on earth is our Aunt, and she leads. Women are strong and it was our own undoing when we took them for weakness.” Council, Rob said.

“Even those women need to learn their place. To kneel before a man like they should. No woman should be above a man. I will prove that when I take down Kenda and show you all that she is not the one to lead. Now bring her to me and no one will be hurt.” Algonquin demanded.

“You sure you want to do this here, Algonquin? No one should have to see you kneel again at her feet. She is the choice we all made, and she was the one the moon Goddess chose. Now leave while you still can.” Alpha Elijah yelled.

“You are a fool, Elijah. I was hoping you would join me on this. I see she has fooled you into thinking she is the one to change it all. I will take all of you down to get to her if I have too. Do not stand in my way. I have the dark magic on my side now and I will use it on all of you.” Algonquin replied.

“Just like there is dark magic in the world Algonquin, there is also white magic, the light of good. I do not hide behind these people who stand with me. I know my path and I know when and where this is all going to take place. You came in hoping to scare them all to join you, but they all want the change to come. They want out of the dark, and I will lead them to the light. Go now while I still let you leave.” Kenda yelled and started walking towards him. He could see the light coming off of her and knew he was not ready to face her just yet.

“I will come for you, Kenda. You just wait and see. You choose this and war will now come your way. You should have just died and let it be, but no, you had to keep doing what you wanted and get in my way. No more. I will lead all the races and we will take our place above the humans and they will be the ones to hide and live in fear. So watch your back, Kenda.” Algonquin said and turned to leave with a puff of smoke to clock his way. Then all the rogues disappeared along with him. Everyone just stood there in shock at what they had just seen. Then Kenda’s little brother came running out with a knife in his hand, right at her. You could tell he was lifeless and had no idea what he was doing, but some wolves didn’t know that. They took him down hard and were about to kill him. “Do not harm him. Knock him out but do not kill him, he has no control over what he is doing.” Kenda yelled.

“Kenda are you okay? Will your brother be okay?” Aiden asked.

“I’m fine, but I need Tara here now. I need to see if she can help him for what his father did to him.” Kenda said.

“She will be here in a few minutes. We will make him lock him up till she gets here and can help.” Aiden replied.

“Sorry everyone for that interruption. The show is over, please go back and join the party again. I will be along shortly.” Kenda voiced

Then she walked off to go check on her little brother and to see if Tara showed up yet. They need to make sure that the spell is broken and make sure they protect him from that happening again. She walked to see that he was in a cell and still out cold. She walked into the cell and put her hand on his head and could feel that something was wrong. He was burning up, and he needed a doctor now. She called Aiden and told him she needed to make sure he gets to the doctor right now through mind link. Then she picked him up and ran him to the medical wing of the Elite packhouse.

“Kenda where is he? Is he ok?” Keme asked through the mind link

“We are in the medical wing and I’m not sure what is going on with him. He tried to attack me at the party when your dad showed up. Then he is now out cold running a high temp. Keme I need Tara here too. In case it’s the spell that is doing this to him.” Kenda replied.

Keme showed up in the medical wing to be there for his sister and brother. Both are not sure what to write about now. Then in walked Tara and Aiden.

“Hey guys, how is he doing?” Aiden asked.

“We don’t know yet. They have found nothing.” Keme said.

“Tara, I am so glad to see you. We really need to talk.” Kenda said.

“Yeah, Aiden said you found some kind of spell on your brother when you did something the other day. I want to know how and what you did. Then I need to see what kind of spell it is. That way I will know what I need to do.” Tara explained.

“I went into Goddess mode, I guess you would call it. I am not sure what to call it. But I could see inside his mind and heart. There was blackness there like it was in a cage waiting to be released and I knew they put it there. I don’t know how I know, I just did. I also knew it was dark. Then when their father showed up tonight, he tried to attack me with a knife. I think somehow their father triggered it to be unlocked.” Kenda explained

“If that is the case then he is under dark magic and that means it involves a caliginous mystical coven. They would be the most powerful dark witches around here. It would be my mother’s coven’s help that we will need to fight their magic. Let me check on your brother to see what his state is.” Tara said.

They all followed Tara into the room where her brother was still out cold and hooked up to all kinds of things. He was still strapped down where he couldn’t move, because they didn’t know if he would hurt himself or anyone else.

“Oh god, I can feel their dark magic coming off of him from here and it’s bad. It looks like he was being fed this dark magic for a while now. I will need my mother’s help if I will save your brother. I can’t do this alone. I will call her now and see if she can be here within the hour.” Tara said and walked out of the room

They all just watch Tara walk out of the room in a hurry. They were all worried about him, and they all felt lost at not being able to help him. Kenda then walked out of the room to go find a place alone to see if she could talk to the Moon Goddess about all of this. She wanted nothing to happen to her family. She already lost her mother and never had time to know her real father. All she had left was her two brothers, and she didn’t want to lose them at all. She had to stop this and if it meant becoming Queen, then so be it. That is what she will do and no mad man with dark magic will stop her. Kenda found a place near a window and she could see the moon. Looking up at the moon put her at ease. It helped her open up her mind to hear what the moon goddess had to say. “My child don’t fear him. He is who took me away from you, but I am with you in your heart. Your real father is not dead, he is in a cell with the caliginous mystical coven. They keep him there to use him for their dark magic, because his werewolf genes make their magic stronger. You will save him, and he will help you become queen and be your guide. Remember my child, I love you and give my love to your brothers.” Anemy said as she filtered away. Kenda couldn’t believe she heard her mother, and it overjoyed her that her mother came to her in her time of need. Plus, to learn that her real father is alive and being held against his will only made her journey a little more bearable. She had to let Tara know what she learned about the dark witches. She went to find her and the others too. They all needed to know what they will be up against here soon and the mission that she will take on. Now that she had this information she wasn’t sure where to go from here and the party was now long forgotten. She couldn’t go back to it now with so much going on, but if she didn’t, then it would be even harder to get them to make her queen-like so many wants her to be. She knew once she talked to the others she would have to return to the party. She found everyone outside the room where her little brother was being held and there was a new woman standing there. She couldn’t have been gone that long, could she?

“Kenda there you are, where have you been? We have been looking for you for over an hour.” Keme said.

“Sorry I didn’t realize that I was gone that long. It didn’t seem to be that long when I went to talk to the moon goddess, but mother came to talk to me. Tara I have found out why their magic is stronger than you thought it should be,” Kenda talked fast to get it all out before they all started questioning her.

“How did you know that I thought it was much stronger than it should be? I never said that out loud, she thought it when I went to go talk to my mother.” Tara asked.

“Honey, she is connected to the Moon Goddess which gives her great power of her own. She can hear thoughts when they are projected strongly outward and she can talk to the moon goddess or others who wish to guide her on her way in the afterlife. I am the leader of the White witch coven, my name is Gilda and I am Tara’s mother. What is the reason that their magic is stronger?” Gilda asked.

“My mother told me my Alpha Father who is the Moon Goddess’s son is being held in a cell by the dark witches who are using his blood for their magic. That we are to save him and he will be with me to guide me to be queen, like the moon goddess wants me to be.” Kenda explained.

“If that is the case, then we will have to use your blood in some white magic to protect everyone that goes up against them. It will also heal your brother. It will take time to prepare to help everyone, but it will only take a few hours to help your brother now. If you can give me a little of your blood, I can save your brother now.” Gilda said.

“Yes, I will give you what you need to save my brother and the others. I will not stand by and let them put us back in a time where everyone feared us and we had no truce in this world.” Kenda replied.

Twist of Fate

Elijah needs Kenda to come back to the party. It was time for her to give a little show of her power so they could gain an alliance with the other packs. He knew he had a way to mind link her since she did it with him and in some ways he wanted to use it now, but didn’t want others to question him on how he could do that. There were some things that still needed to be kept to themselves. So he sent Eric to go look for her and sent his son a mind link to bring her to the field outside the hall. Everyone was gathering around waiting for her to show.

“Kenda my father needs you in the field outside the hall. He said it’s time so I guess we need to go and then we can come back,” Aiden informed her.

“Yes, I figured it was getting close to that time. I just thought we would have more answers by now. Keme you stay with him and I will be back once this is all done and we have our alliances with these packs. Let me know changes.” Kenda said.

“Will do sis, go knock them dead on your skills. Show them you can be queen.” Keme said and then Eric walked through the door and looked like he was in love.

“Eric, what are you staring at?” Aiden asked

“Nothing. I just came to get Alpha Kenda for Alpha Elijah.” Eric responded.

They followed Eric back to the field to where Kenda would need to show some of her power to the other packs. She didn’t enjoy doing this; it made her feel like she was flaunting her power at them. Problem was, they all wanted to see what she could do. They needed to know that she could protect them if they needed her. It was really the only way to get them to see what she was doing was for the best. Not just here to take over. When they arrived at the field, everyone bowed and all. That made Kenda a little nervous. She got to the stage and stood next to the council and Alpha Elijah.

“Good Evening, I would like to introduce Alpha Kenda who I would like to see become our future Queen. She will say a few words to let you know what she intends to do and will show you a little of her power to prove she can protect you.” Alpha Elijah announced

“Thank you all for coming out tonight. As you all know, the Goddess chose me herself to bring change to the supernatural world. We can’t change unless we all are on the same page. I had to start the change with my pack first. I did just that. I also started with a few other packs. I would like all of us to join, to make the change happen with more vigor. As you also know Alpha Elijah and the council would like to make the royal pack form into the change and they want me to be queen. I will gladly take this on with all of your support. If I take this on, the change about how you see your pack members and helping your fellow members or outside members is the key. Let new blood in even if they are rogue, I have a test that all you will start doing it will help show ranking even in females it will also tell you what jobs they would be good at helping your pack make money. I will help each pack grow and be good to learn to be good around humans. Now I will show you some of my power to why the council and Alpha Elijah want me as Queen. Again I think you are all for coming tonight now for the show.” Kenda explained she walked off the stage to a good part of the clearing where no one would get hurt. She waited for the warriors to come at her. This time it was new ones from other packs that wanted to test her. So they all came at her and she didn’t change like they did. She then sat down, waiting on them to make a move. Then one ran at her and was about to bite her arm when she turned and sat him flying into two others. Then another one came at her and jumped on her back. She was walking around with him on her back like he was not there and he weighed twice as much as she did and she carried him like he was nothing. Then to end it all and so she could get back to her brother, she closed her eyes and then shot them open with both arms in the air. All the warriors froze in their spot. Then she said one thing, changed back. All the wolves changed back into their human forms. Everyone was in awe of her. Then she walked back on to the stage where the council was waiting for her. She looked at them all.

“Thank you Kenda for that show of strength. Now that you all have seen her in action and that she did it all in her human form she will show you what her wolf looks like, but we will need a vote within the week to see if Kenda becomes our queen. I know this is a lot to take in, but it’s time we take charge and have someone who has everyone’s best interest at the head of that. Kenda please show everyone your wolf.” Council, Jerry announced.

Kenda then changed into her wolf and everyone couldn’t believe their eyes, she was a rare color and that she was bigger than they have ever seen a female wolf to be. Since her human form is so small. Then she changed back with all her clothes back on, which shocked a few of them. Some of them have heard of a few being able to change back with their clothes on. Kenda then left them all to talk so she could go back to be with her little brother. She needed to make sure he was ok. She gets back to her brother only to find that he doesn’t remember a thing of what happened. Tara’s mother is talking with some other people and she needed answers to why her brother doesn’t remember. She walks over to Tara and her mother and the new people.

“Gilda may I speak with you, please. I have a few questions,” Kenda said.

“Sure Kenda or should I say my queen. I also would like you to meet another white witch and the high priestess of all white witches. This is Diana, and she is here to form the alliance with you. She heard that you took in a hybrid vampire and their parents into your pack with no problem and gave them jobs a rank. That you took in others that were not just werewolves. So she knew then that you are who the Goddess has chosen. She also came to help with your brother.” Gilda said.

“It’s nice to meet you, Diana, I welcome your alliance so we can draw up the paperwork later. I am happy that you came to help my brother. Can someone tell me why he remembers nothing and why he doesn’t smell like a wolf anymore? I am a little confused about that. Is there anything else we need to do?” Kenda asked.

“He doesn’t remember because he felt it best that he doesn’t remember that he tried to kill you. We found out that his father had been feeding him dark magic now for almost a year. There is one other thing. His father’s true mate is one of the dark witches and they have two children. A girl and a boy and they have him taking over for their father once he passes away. The girl is being trained to become the dark high priestess. This was all in your brother’s subconscious mind. He must have overheard this and wanted to tell you because that’s when the dark magic started on your brother.” Diana explained

“Thank you for telling me and for all your help. I would like to invite both of you back to my pack so you can see firsthand how we all get along. That way we can also get the alliance on its way. I will head back to my pack in the morning and you both are welcome to come along. My little brother will spend time with his big brother here.” Kenda replied.

“That would be wonderful. I think we both would like to see how you are coming along with all the different species in your pack.” Diana responded

“Well, I think I will go to bed and get some rest to leave in the morning. I want to say good night to my brothers and

Then I’m off to bed. I will leave in the morning around nine am. Just to let you ladies know”. Kenda explained.

“Sure thing, we will see you in the morning. Oh, and Kenda, I have other information that you need to know. The fate is throwing you a twist in your mating. They are sending you three mates, but only one will be your true mate to be king at your side. It will be hard for you to tell the difference. The one you think is your mate may not be the true mate that you are to be with. He is just one of the three. I don’t know why this is happening unless it’s the way to see if you can choose wisely on who will help you with all the supernatural creatures. The three mates will be a werewolf, vampire, and hybrid. The ones that do not come to your mates will become part of your council or warriors depending on how they test in your judgment. Just be mindful. Good night,” Diana informed.

Damn all I needed to know that the fates want to throw a twist my way. I didn’t think I needed to be tested anymore. I thought I proved myself more times over. But she gave me a lot to think about on top of everything else going on. Now I have to wonder when I will meet them. I was just getting used to thinking of Aiden as my mate and now he may not be the one. I wonder what these others will be like. No time to worry about that now, I need to think of my brother and to take care of that so-called father of his. How could he hurt his own childlike he did? I guess you can when they are children are not from your true mate.

“Good evening boys, I came to check on you both. I wanted to make sure you guys are doing ok. So, Qaletaqa, how are you feeling? Are you up to answer a few questions?” Kenda asked.

“I’m doing better. I don’t feel so out of it now. Yeah, I can answer what I can Kenda.” Qaletaqa replied.

“Do you know what your dad was doing to you?” Kenda asked.

“No, I don’t know and I think I know why he would harm me,” Qaletaqa said.

“Ok, he was feeding you dark magic. Now why do you think he would hurt you?” Kenda asked.

“I followed him one night to this house, and I overheard him call this woman mate. And call this girl and boy children. That’s all I remember about that.” Qaletaqa explained

“I figured as much. I have arranged it for you to stay here for a few days. So you and Keme can spend time together and you still have time to choose a pack. So spend time here and see what you think. I will leave in the morning to head back to my pack. If you need me I am just a call away. So get some rest and I will see you before I leave. Good night, boys.” Kenda said and walked out, leaving the boys to talk and get some rest.

Preparing The Pack

Getting up in the morning to go see my brothers before I head back to my pack was bittersweet. She would miss her brothers, but she couldn’t wait to get back to her pack. She just had a hard time leaving her brothers behind. The only thing that kept her going knew that they were safe here. She knew that she had a lot of work to do with her pack. She had to get everyone ready for the war to come and that it looked like they would come to the royal pack soon. She also wanted to introduce the pack to the white witches and to see if one of them would like to stay in the pack or something. It may help with the coming activities. That can wait till I get back to the pack, I need to see my brothers first.

“Good morning, you two. How did you both sleep and how are you feeling, Qaletaqa?” Kenda asked

“Oh dear sister we are doing just fine and I can’t believe you’re up so early,” Keme replied

“Trying to be funny, I see,” Kenda replied

“You two never change. You both think you can outdo the other and get away with it. I still don’t understand how you two find that fun.” Qaletaqa voiced.

“You will not talk our fun away with talk like that. I will outdo here one of these days and then she will see that I am smarter than here yet.” Keme said while laughing.

“You just had to goad him, didn’t you Qaletaqa? You just had to see if he would fall for your little trap. You are getting better at that little brother.” Kenda applauded

“I knew what he was doing all the time,” Keme said with a pout on his face

“You and I both know you had to know what he was doing to you. He is just getting better than you at this game. That have you pouting.” Kenda replied, laughing at her two brothers’ looks on their faces. It was priceless as far as she was concerned.

“So do you really have to go back to your pack today?” Qaletaqa asked.

“Yes, I do. I have a lot, I still have to get done and you still need to recover from your ordeal. So you are staying with Keme for a while and see if you like this pack better than your sisters pack. Find your place, Qaletaqa. You will be a good pack member no matter what pack you join.” Kenda explained.

“Thank you Kenda and you know you will make a good Queen. I want to be a part of that when it happens to you. I would like to be one guard or warriors for you. I know most of your moves in human form already and I will get better with them as I get stronger and older. So if it is ok with you I would like to train more while I am here and when I get back with you.” Qaletaqa announced.

“If that is what you want then I will make it happen.” Kenda voiced.

“Thank you” Qaletaqa replied

“Well, guys, I have to go. Take care of each other and I will see you in a few weeks. I love you both.” Kenda told her goodbyes and left the boys behind. She meets up with the white witches in the main hall so they all could head to Kenda’s pack territory. The rest of her pack head back already and she was the last to leave the Elite pack. It didn’t seem to take them long to get back to her pack. Everyone was glad to see her back and they all couldn’t wait to hear the news about if she would become queen or not. She knew that they would all want to know what happened, and she also knew that she would have to tell them what happened.

“Welcome to the Moon Goddess Pack,” Kenda said to her guest

“Thank you for having us Alpha Kenda,” Diana replied

“Let me show you around before I call a pack meeting to introduce you all to the pack and to inform them it looks like we will be the Royal Moon Goddess Pack soon.” Kenda spoke.

They walked around the pack and seeing what she could do and how she had so many types of species living together in peace. The white witch Diana was very impressed at how Alpha Kenda could pull this off and have all of them working and living in peace with one another. It was an amazing job and shows her vision well in what she has done in her pack alone. The White witch Diana wanted to be a part of this new world that was coming their way. Even if she knew that there was still an uphill battle yet to come.

“Alpha Kenda, you have done such an amazing job with all of this in your pack. You have so many species in your pack living and working together in peace. I don’t think I would have believed it if I haven’t seen with my own eyes,” Diana said

“Thank you so much and that means a lot to me, but my pack does the work. I just guide them in the right direction. I give them choices and options. If they don’t think they can live here with one another, they are free to leave here, but with those choices they have to know the consequences of their actions. If they go to another pack, I help with that. If they are a rogue, then they have to stay a rogue for a year before they can try to be in another pack. That is how we keep harmony and fight for. We can be around humans when we remember that we are part human. So there are times we need to be more human than are the other half. I help them see that.” Alpha Kenda replied.

“I would like to be a part of this, If I may?” Diana asked

“There is always room for people who want to change for the better or who want to be a part of the movement. That helps change go forward with others.” Kenda explained.

“That is so true, I didn’t think of it that way,” Diana replied

“Your welcome. Are you ready to meet the pack? Then we can talk about how you can help and if you can recommend a white witch who would like to join my pack and still be a part of their coven.” Kenda added into the conversation, then she called for a pack meeting in the big field. They all walked to the field for the pack meeting. Kenda and Diana walked onto the stage so that Kenda could introduce Diana as a friend of the packs. Then she can get on with telling the pack about the upcoming war and how it looks like they will be the new royal pack soon. How they had to get ready to show other packs how to get along with other species and work together as a family. How to use their human side more in situations where the other part would not be useful. Everyone should and there were little whispers, there were little whispers going around about the person on stage with Kenda and other little things about what happened at the party.

“Okay, everyone simmer down and let’s begin the meeting. I would like to introduce to you all a new friend of the packs. She is a white witch, and her name is Diana. Her coven and her will form an alliance with our pack. So please welcome her with open arms.” Kenda announced and let Dian walk up to say a few words.

“Thank you Alpha Kenda for that harm welcome. Thank you Moon Goddess pack for welcoming me and my coven to your family. This is the most amazing pack I have been to. So many species working and living together is such a wonderful sight to see. I applaud you and your Alpha for all that you have done here and wish to be a part of your future. Thank you.” Diana said and stepped back so Kenda could speak again. The pack cheered and went silent once more when Kenda took back up to speak again.

“Thank you for that, Diana. Now to the rest of the business. It looks like they will vote on us becoming the Royal pack in two weeks. From what I could tell, the vote will be us being the Royal pack. So we will need to be ready for that. Then while I was there, I had a visitor from my brother’s father who was out to see me dead. He has gotten himself mixed with dark magic and comes to find out my brother’s have two half-siblings who take over when they are old enough. At least that is what they are being trained for. So, what I am saying is that war is coming and we will need to train for that and trying to have royal guards and other packs

Will send their best to train and become a royal guard or warrior to represent their packs. So please keep up the good work that you all have been doing and I will help more with the training as time goes on. I am glad to be home with my pack, but we all will do a

Bit of traveling from time to time to help other packs when the time comes. So I will make the call on who goes when the time comes based on what the pack needs help with. You all have talents that can help others and that is what we are here to do. I have the pack to prove it. You all are special and I wouldn’t trade you for nothing. So thank you all and you are all free to go.” Kenda announced and let the pack go do what they want. Kenda turned around to see Diana in a trance and wondered who she, maybe,

Talking to or if she was seeing. It took Diana several minutes to come around before they could walk to Kenda’s office. They walked to the office in silence. Neither of them know how to proceed with what just happened.

“Diana, are you okay? Can I help you with anything?” Kenda finally asked

“I’m fine thank you for asking, but it’s more about what I have to tell you than what anyone can do to help,” Diana explained

“I’m not following you on this,” Kenda said

“Well, once we get to your office where we both can sit and talk about this it will be easier to explain,” Diana said

Kenda just shook her head and continued to walk to her office with Diana following closely. Once again it goes quiet with each of them having things on their mind. They made it to the office and Kenda asked Amy to bring some snacks and drinks to her office before she and Diana got started talking about what happened just moments ago. Once Amy brought in the things that Kenda asked for and left, Kenda turned to Diana.

“Ok, now that we are here would you care to explain what you were talking about on the way here?” Kenda asked.

“Yes. I saw while out of your stage. One of your mates is on his way here and it’s one that you have not met before. I am thinking he is a hybrid that is coming, but I am not sure just yet on that. I know he should be here within three

days.” Diana explained

She could see how shocked Kenda was to hear the news of this. She wasn’t sure what to say to help her through this. Kenda just sat down and stared off into space for a while. Then looked up at Diana and blinked a few times and tried to speak with nothing coming out.

“Are you sure he is coming in three days? What am I to do?” Kenda asked.
