Vibrant arcade machine showcasing an AI Video Generator creating dynamic short videos instantly.

I've run an online business full-time for three years, and YouTube has been a weak spot.

No revenue from it, even though faceless channels pull in solid earnings for others.

Established routines make it hard to add new tasks without disrupting cash flow.

I needed software that handles video creation from a prompt alone.

HeyGen Ai video generator fits that need. It generates videos up to 30 minutes long via its AI video agent.

What drew me in?

The tool's focus on short-form content, like 60-second pieces for TikTok or Reels. I tested it and got results fast.

Below, I share four videos I made today, plus the prompt behind them.

HeyGen Overview

HeyGen Ai video generator uses AI to produce videos from text inputs.

Its recent AI video agent update allows full videos from one prompt, handling scripts, visuals, and audio.

Users input details, and it outputs editable clips.

This aligns with trends in AI content tools, where automation cuts production time.

As video expert Casey Neistat notes in a Wired interview, "AI handles the grunt work, letting creators focus on ideas".

(Ed. note: Neistat's point highlights efficiency gains in real workflows.)

Have you tried automating video edits? If manual work eats your schedule, tools like this shift the load.

Video Examples from HeyGen

These aren't flawless – my prompt needs tweaks for better flow. Refine the input, and outputs improve.

Video 1: Methylene Blue

This covers uses of methylene blue in health contexts. The HeyGen Ai video generator built a 60-second breakdown with hooks on benefits and risks.

Video 2: Starbucks Secrets Exposed

Exposes lesser-known facts about Starbucks operations. Clips include quick facts on supply chains and menu hacks, aimed at coffee fans.

Video 3: Parasite Secrets Revealed

Details on common parasites and prevention. Visuals show microscopic views transitioning to tips.

Video 4: Parasite Danger Revealed

Focuses on health risks from parasites. Ends with a CTA for viewer checks.

Each came from the same prompt structure, stitched into seamless shorts.

"How does AI decide visuals?" - you might ask.

It pulls from prompt descriptions, like camera angles and effects, ensuring clips link without jumps.

My Current Prompt for HeyGen

I built this prompt for viral shorts. It's free now, but I may sell an updated version on Gumroad later.

You are a viral video expert specializing in short-form content for platforms like TikTok and Reels.

Create a complete plan for a 60-second viral video on the topic [TOPIC].

The video must be broken into exactly 10 individual 5–6 second clips that can be stitched together seamlessly.

Focus on virality: start with a strong hook in Clip 1, build engagement with surprises/humor/tips, end with a call-to-action (CTA) in Clip 10.

Identify the best settings for writing a viral script for a short video.

Settings to consider:

Target audience: [ _____________________ ]

Overall style: [ __________________ ] – energetic, fast-paced, with smooth transitions like quick cuts or fades.

Tone of Voice: [ _____________________ ]

General Perspective: [ _____________________ ]

Output Structure:

Ideation Summary: A 2–3 sentence overview of the core concept, why it'll go viral (e.g., relatable + trending sound), and key themes.

Full Script Overview: A high-level script for the entire video, including narration voiceover, on-screen text, and sound design notes (e.g., upbeat music, SFX).

Clip Breakdown: For each of the 10 clips, provide:

Timing: Exact start/end seconds (e.g., 0–6s for Clip 1).

Script Segment: Narration (spoken words), on-screen text, and audio cues.

Video Description: Detailed visual prompt for AI generation (camera angles, actions, colors, effects).

Ensure clips connect fluidly (e.g., end of Clip 1 leads into Clip 2).

Make everything concise, engaging, and optimized for shares – use emojis in text overlays, questions to spark comments, and trending elements.

This prompt works in HeyGen Ai video generator to generate the videos above.

I tested it in Genspark's Super Agent too – similar quality, but it drained credits quick.

HeyGen offers unlimited videos for $20/month (billed annually) or $30/month-to-month, making it more practical for heavy use.

HeyGen's pricing plans

More clips = faster content output, which boosts platform algorithms for views.
