No one knows that they are going to be famous when they are born. It just hits you like a brick falling off the leaning tower of bricks and if you saw the tower you would know what I mean. So you might be wondering who I am. Well my name is Brittany Dalton. I'm a 23 year old Diamond. Diamonds are people-like things that live on floating Islands or Clans that are in outer space. Diamonds have two arms, two legs, wings and tails. We also have faces and pointy ears but we either have feathers, scales or fur. The Clan Island you come from depends on what attribute you have. If you live on another Clan Island for a few sunbursts, then your feathers, scales or fur falls out and you grow whatever one is needed to live on that Clan Island. I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m telling you about my kind. I’ll get to that in a moment. I’m also sure you want to know how we get to other Clans and it’s easy, we can fly. “Hey Brittany, who are you talking to?” asked Amy. “I'm talking to these people in this little black book,” said Brittany. “ I found it on my flight over to Fluffy Clan island and it hit me in the face.” “ But why are you talking to it?” asked Amy, as she grabbed the little black book. “Whenever I say something it appears on this white thin page. See everything you said is here.” Brittany showed the book to Amy and Amy saw the words show up on the page. “Yeah, so what, why do it at all? Amy exclaimed. “There is more to it,” said Brittany. “Look, it asks me questions too.” “The book asked me what

I was, what I looked like and where I was from. The book also said that it was very important and if I tell it everything it asks and then return it to its rightful owner, the book would make me famous!” “Can I go with you Brittany? I can be a big help and I want to be famous too?” begged Amy. “Yeah why not. The book said if two of us return it, we will both be given a fortune, whatever that means” laughed Brittany as she grabbed her space goggles and put them over her eyes. “Well, back to work then” Amy exclaimed. Brittany asked the little black book, “how long will it take you to get to me?” The book replied, “I don’t know.” “I‘m sure you're not too far away”, said Brittany to the book. The book advised Brittany that it had a GPS in it so all she needed to do was turn it on and she could see how far away she was. Brittany turned on the GPS easily and saw it read “You are too far to navigate back to planet Earth. Please try again later. “ “That is odd” stated Amy, “ what is Earth?” “Earth is a planet that is in outer space and has lots of life forms that live there, “ advised the black book to the Diamond. “Wow” said Amy, “Let’s go!” Amy pulled out her watch which showed a map of outer space. “Let me try something,” said Amy as Brittany and the black book waited. “Here!” said Amy, “It’s not too far. We just have to go three Suns down this way.” pointed Amy at her space map. “Great, let's go, we can be there in one sunburst, stated Brittany as Amy nodded her head in

agreement. Brittany and Amy both pushed off the island and out into space as they went dancing in and out of asteroids and debris. They zipped past all three suns and had gotten close enough to the Earth when they saw the map of the little blacks book’s headquarters show up on the screen. They looked at Amy and wanted us to go there. Amy and Brittany both looked at the come here blinking light and zipped down to the blinking spot. As Amy and Brittany flew down to Earth, they both started to lose their scales, the plush feathers on their wings and fur on their heads. At that very moment, soft scales started to form on the rest of their body. “Brittany, what is going on?” asked Amy, looking at herself and spinning in circles. “I'm not sure,” said Brittany, looking at herself as well. “Maybe there are more little black books here and they can tell us what is going on.” As Brittany and Amy got closer to a large tower, they spotted something looking and pointing at them. As a loud siren stormed on and bright lights shined on their faces. “Surrender or we will shoot” said a booming voice over a loudspeaker. “Shoot?” Brittany and Amy said in unison looking at each other. At that moment, they saw a small bullet zip past their faces with a whiff of gunpowder and a small blast of hot air. “Is that what shooting is?” thought Brittany as she watched another bullet fly by. “I don’t like this anymore Brittany,” said Amy as she danced her way between the bullets starting to increase in frequency. “This is weird,” said Brittany. “They asked us to come here and are now telling us to surrender

whatever that means. I'll just show them the book.” “ Hey” yelled Brittany. “You want this?” Brittany started to wave the book back and forth and the shooting stopped. “Oh good” said Amy, “they want the book back.” The light moved from their faces and pointed to a door on the ground. “Please enter” said a loud voice as the door opened loudly. “I don’t know about this, Amy. My scales have a shiver and this only happens if I eat too many rocks. Rocks are our food source.” exclaimed Brittany. “It will be fine” said Brittany as she zipped down to the door. “Besides we can fly home right after if we need to leave.” Amy shrugged and followed Brittany into the door quickly. Once they walked through the door, they noticed a hallway which had lights shining all the way to another door a few hundred yards away. Brittany and Amy flew to the door in a matter of a few seconds. The second door opened quickly. “Welcome” said the loud voice. “This is Earth. Do you come in peace?” “What is peace?” Brittany asked Amy. “How should I know?'' she said back. Suddenly the little black book glowed and said to Brittany, “ you want to know what peace means?” “ Yes,” said Brittany. The loud voice continued, “Peace means you will not eat or hurt anyone on this planet.” “Oh” noted Amy. “Yeah in peace” said Amy out loud to the voice. “Wonderful” said the voice. “Welcome to Earth. We have lots of things to ask you. “ Amy and Brittany both flew up to the voice and looked at it for a long time. ”I am a human,” said the

voice. “We have lived on this planet for millions of years. We have many things to show you and learn from you if you want to stay for a little bit. Also, like I said before, if you stay, I can make you famous and that comes with a lot of money.” “What is money?” asked Brittany of the Human. “Money is what humans use to buy things like food, clothing, cars, anything really and it looks like this.'' said the human, holding up a one dollar bill. “It smells funny” said Brittany as she twitched her nose and moved her head back away from the money. “I have a job for you if you think you can handle it. said the human voice. “Would you be willing to lay on this table so I can see what you are made of?” “Alright” said Brittany as she laid down on the table folding up her wings and wrapping herself in her tail. “Perfect, now just go to sleep and it will be over soon.” stated the human. “What’s sleep?” asked Brittany. The human explained to Brittany that sleep is what you do when you close your eyes for a long time which gives your body time to rest up for the next day. The human then walked behind the door and started filling the room with sleeping gas. “Okay” said Brittany and she closed her eyes. “We don't do this at the Clans but it feels kind of nice.” A few minutes later, Brittany fell asleep as the human examined Brittany’s body, looking at her wings and tail, and taking a sample of fur and scales. It was days before Brittany started

to wake, and to her surprise, she was out in a field with Amy. “Amy!” said Brittany, `” are you alright?” Amy didn’t say a word. Amy asked Brittany again, “Can you hear me?” Brittany flew over to Amy and tapped her ears. “ Amy?” she asked again. Brittany started to look around and saw rocks everywhere, all different sizes and colors. She also noticed trees and grass with many types of beautiful flowers just at the top of a small hill. Amy finally started to wake up as she felt Brittany tugging at her ears.” Hi Brittany” said Amy as she slowly opened her eyes. “Hi back,” said Brittany, excited to see her friend getting up. “I don’t know what happened other than my body hurts and look at all these rocks. “ Amy looked around at all the different colors and shapes. “Wow” said Amy as she picked one up and put it in her mouth and started to chew. “This tastes just like fluffy stones.” Brittany picked up a rock that was brown and tan and popped it in her mouth. After a few chews Brittany smiled and said “ Brick crumbs, this place is super tasty and we have enough food here to live millions of years without having to move to a new Clan every ten sunbursts. Maybe we should tell the rest about this place.” “That would be a great idea” agreed Amy as she shoved a few more stones in her mouth and a few in her pockets for later. “Great, let's go, “ said Brittany.

Brittany and Amy flew back to the Clans and told them all about their visit from the little black book and all the stones they found on this planet called Earth. The rest of the Clans thought it would be a great place to gather all their food and to be able to use the Humans to dig up the stones. After the great gathering of the Earth stones, the Diamonds kept going back to Earth every few sunbursts to gather food and visit the humans. Most of the humans didn’t even know that the Diamonds had visited their Earth unless the humans saw travel disks which are used to bring the Diamond’s food back to their Clans. All I wanted to do is become famous and I’m really glad I found this little black book!!!
