5 Stories A Season 2 Of 'Skeleton Crew' Could Explore
Potential for the future.

WARNING: SPOILERS for Skeleton Crew 1x08, 'The Real Good Guys'.
Unlike The Acolyte, the first season of Skeleton Crew does not end on a major cliffhanger moment. However, there are a few dangling plot threads that could be picked up if the series were to be renewed for a second season.
Here's some of the stories a season two of Skeleton Crew could explore.
1. Where did The Supervisor come from, and just how long was At Attin hidden from the rest of the Galaxy?
Many fans predicted the reveal that The Supervisor, the mysterious entity ruling over At Attin, remaining unseen until the finale, was actually a droid. Unfortunately, Jod destroys The Supervisor when it threatens his plan, leaving any further questions about it and At Attin unanswered.
Where did The Supervisor actually come from? How will the people of At Attin cope without it? How long was At Attin hidden from the rest of the Galaxy? It was quite sometime, given the kids' clearly limited knowledge of the fall of the Jedi or war against the Empire, although it seems The Supervisor may have known slightly more than At Attin's general public.
According to series creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, how long At Attin was hidden, and it's possible ties to earlier points in Star Wars history, were discussed in the Writer's room, but in respect for the larger world they were entering, decided to leave the topic open for discussion with other Star Wars creatives before confirming anything. However, it is definitely on the table for a season two.
2. How At Attin integrates into the New Republic/Wider Galaxy
Now that the barrier is destroyed and At Attin is visible and accessible to the rest of the Galaxy, whoever succeeds The Supervisor as the planet's leader, will need to decide how to deal with the situation. What will reintegrating into the Galaxy mean for them? Do the rules around leaving At Attin change? Does the planet now allow a wider range of visitors?
Perhaps most importantly, will they officially join the New Republic, and sign the charter?
If At Attin does join the New Republic, helping its people adjust to the changes this would bring could form part of the plot of season two. The likely end of At Attin's assessment program, opening up more future opportunities for the kids within the New Republic, is also an avenue to explore. These scenarios would open up the series to cameos from other Mandoverse characters, even potentially allowing Wim to meet a real Jedi. Ezra Bridger, recently returned from being lost in another Galaxy, seems a fun and plausible possibility.
3. The Potential Consequences of At Attin's Exposure
As a result of Fara and Wendle's destruction of the barrier around At Attin, the planet is now visible and accessible to all who might come across it. While the destruction of the barrier and arrival of the New Republic forces was a triumphant moment in Skeleton Crew's finale, the planet's exposure probably won't come without consequences. After all, At Attin is still home to a massive stockpile of Old Republic credits, and a Mint from which more could be made.
Keeping the planet safe will likely require a longer running effort. While the New Republic successfully chased away the pirates this time, there's no reason they would not try to return once the heat dies down. Alternatively, At Attin's riches could become the target of something or someone even worse. The recently returned Grand Admiral Thrawn will probably need a cash injection to support his plans to restore the empire, making At Attin's vaults an inviting prospect. This scenario could also tie Skeleton Crew more directly to the other Mando-era shows.
4. Jod's backstory and potential redemption
Skeleton Crew's finale briefly touches on the backstory of Jod Na Nawood, as he explains he was discovered and briefly trained by a Jedi, who was hunted down and killed in the aftermath of Order 66. Watts and Ford had a full flashback episode for Jod plotted out, and even filmed a scene with Jod's Master, casting actress Jasmine El Masri. The scene was ultimately cut due to a preference to keep the series focused from the kids point of view, but the writers remain open to revisiting it in the future.
Ford and Watts also described Jod as a 'really bad good guy' rather than a villain, noting his apparent sadness at KB crashing the Onyx Cinder, and his decision to toss his blaster aside once it was clear he had lost. This suggests that a future Jod redemption arc is not entirely out of the question, but how this would come about is uncertain.
5. The other hidden planets
While it was initially believed that At Attin was the only one of the Old Republic hidden planets to survive, the fact the kids found At Achrann inhabited and intact, albeit at war, casts doubt on the other planets' fate.
If Skeleton Crew were to get a second season, Watts has said there would definitely be a time jump to account for the inevitable growth of the show's young leads. The kids may tire of At Attin again, their home planet seeming small in light of all they have seen and know, and seek a new adventure, finding the other lost planets.
Whatever form it takes, we hope to see more of these characters in the future.
