UnEntangled - The Wedding

Chapter 2

By Ireland Lorelei Published 4 years ago 3 min read

Christie walked downstairs and into the kitchen in time to see Jamie dancing around in his boxers.

“Is this what married life is going to look like with you on a Saturday morning?” she asked with a playful laugh.

“It definitely could be, but I’d prefer waking up to you dancing in the kitchen wearing nothing while cooking breakfast,” he replied in a provocative tone.

“You know we should start a tradition of routing weekends or something!” she said as she walked up to him at the stove and put her arm around his waist to grab a piece of bacon while accidentally rubbing his manhood.

“Oh, so this is how we are going to play in the kitchen!” he said as he swing around and in one quick movement, picked her up by her waist and set her down on the counter on the opposite side of the kitchen, kissing her as he did it.

When they broke apart, she said, “You know, if we keep this up, we may get nothing done today.”

“That should be the only thing we are getting done today! Everything else can go on hold until tomorrow. Let's just enjoy our first twenty-four hours of being engaged before we start telling you and everyone start stressing about details.” he said as he walked over to flip the pancakes.

“You know, I think I can do that, just for today. Tomorrow we need to figure out some stuff, like date, place and living arrangements, etc. Then I need to call Sharon and my parents,” she said as she jumped down off the counter.

“That’s all I am asking, babe. Now, would you mind finishing the eggs while I go jump in the shower?” he asked.

“Yes, I can finish them,” she said as she took over in his spot at the stove.

He kissed her forehead and headed upstairs to take a shower.

She finished the eggs and set the table. By the time she was done, he was back downstairs.

As they sat down to eat, he said grace. Then he looked at her and said, “I am going to answer one question that you have, and then we are done planning for today! I am moving here. I told you before that the market for my business is great here, you on the other hand, wouldn’t have the same clientele in North Carolina as you have here. There is even more business here to allow me to grow my company bigger than what it is.”

“I didn’t think you really wanted to leave home.” she said. “I just want you to make the best decision and one that you are going to be happy with.”

“Miami has grown on me! And it is the best decision for us both. Now, let’s finish this food and watch some TV and have some quality time!” he replied.

“Okay, but today I’m picking the first movie!” she laughed knowing that she was going to watch a romantic drama, and he hated them.

“Only because you said yes!” he laughed back, knowing exactly what he was in store for.

They finished eating, and he cleared the table while she washed up the dishes. Once the kitchen was cleaned, they went and set on the couch in front of the TV, and she picked out a movie on Netflix, The Wedding Planner.

“Really, so even though we aren’t going to talk about the wedding, you are still going to find a way to get some ideas, huh!” he laughed as he pulled her snug to his side.

“Well, of course I am! You know the whole kill two birds with one stone thing!” she laughed back.
