Monet Brown

After two years in junior college, Monet Brown continued her career at Talladega during the 2020-21 season. The 5-5 guard from Sacramento, California had an awesome performance in a blowout win against Southwest. She led her team to a 90-42 victory on Jan. 27, with 11 assists, four steals and only two turnovers. Brown scored her career high in points with 15 in a win over Life, Nov. 14. She shot 5-9 in that contest and also posted four assists, three steals and just one turnover. Brown had her best shooting performance against Dillard, Feb. 24. She scored 13 points by shooting 5-6, including 2-2 from three-point territory.

Ahmeir Kyle

Ahmeir Kyle, a native of St. Joseph, Michigan, has competed during her collegiate tennis career at Xavier. She had a winning season this year going 10-5. Kyle made history, becoming the first Xavier Muskateer to compete in the NCAA Division I Singles Championships, where she dropped a match to Paris Corley of LSU, who was ranked 60th in the world. During the season she also made history at her school by becoming the first Xavier player to be ranked in the International Tennis Association National Rankings. Her highest ranking during the college season was 107. Kyle was selected to the All-Big East First Team. Another interesting fact about Kyle is that she trailblazed for girls becoming the first to win the boys state championship in Michigan.

Makayla Transou

During the 2019-20 season, Makayla Transou competed for the Tennessee State track and field and cross country programs. She had a top eight finish at the Edward Temple Classic when she finished seventh out of 20 competitors in the long jump. Transou is a native of Jackson, Tennessee where she competed at South Side High School. She made it to the state finals every year in the long jump, placing third as a sophomore. On her Instagram page, she has the quote, "People who avoid failure, also avoid success." She lives by the motto, "Stack. Educate yourself. Always remain humble."

Douthshine Prien

A 5-7 Haitian guard who competed at West Boca Raton High School, Douthshine Prien completed her first season at Pensacola State during the 2020-21 season. Prien was a star on defense with an average of 2.3 swipes per game. She recorded a steal in every game and collected a season best four steals twice. She also had two games with 11 rebounds during her rookie season. Prien's career best in assists was also 11, as she also collected 10 points, six rebounds and two steals against Gulf Coast State College. Prien averaged 7.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists over the entire season. She scored a season best points 14 points against Tallahassee Community College.

Lynsey Shipley

Lynsey Shipley used her 2021 season to solidify herself as one of the best sprinters in the history of her school and a legitimate champion in the Horizon League. At the outdoor conference championship meet Shipley scored wins for Northern Kentucky in the 400 meters and 1,600-meter relay. She also got runner-up medals in the 200 meters and 400-meter relay.

Shipley dominated the indoor championship meet with wins in the 200 meters, 400 meters and 1,600-meter relay. The Portsmouth, Ohio native earned her first Horizon League championships as a freshman in the 400 meters and 1,600-meter relay. Prior to her collegiate career, she won the 2017 state championship in the 400 meters as a student at Portsmouth High School. She also captured a silver medal in her region in the long jump.
