When Wolves Can't Sleep
Dane couldn’t sleep. He couldn’t sleep and he didn’t want to. DIdn’t want to face the nightmares that had plagued him the last five nights in a row. It wasn’t fair. He hadn’t gotten good sleep in over a month, and it was taking its toll on him. He was snappy, crabby for no reason. He had yelled at Shawn just for asking if he was okay. Poor Shawn. He’d had a deer in the headlights look, not expecting the outburst at such a simple question. But it wasn’t simple, was it? It wasn’t that easy.

The Play Party; pt 2
Nadia and Sir had finished their scene, but Nadia was still a touch nervous. Nothing at all like she had been initially, but definitely still nervous. Hopefully, the next few rooms would make the rest of her anxieties disappear. She hadn’t felt any of the fear while in subspace, but that was normal. It was unfortunate that it had come back, but it was what it was and couldn’t be helped.

Roscoe Forthright. GRIMOIRE
GRIMOIRE. BOOK 2. PART 1. No person has an easy time going back to their normal, predictable ways of life after talking with a 5000-yr.-old archangel especially when the archangel is the trumpet-player, Gabriel (known to his jazz-playing friends as, Gaby Silverhorn.) Roscoe Forthright returned from Canada to his home in Washington State, without mentioning his conversation with Gabriel to Amber Riverwood, nor the other witches of her coven. Even with his lovers, his closest friends: Amber, Gina, Rosalee, and Bea, Roscoe was too stunned to know what to say. There is no calm, reasonable, believable, credible way to speak about Gabriel without any supporting evidence. There exists nothing except the experience as he remembers it. The Celestial Trumpet-Player did not record any tunes for him to play for anyone . And , the narrative as it exists , would get him locked -up in m ost places ! He met an elderly Canadian Aboriginal , who talk e d about his wor k as an Archangel , then disappeared into a scrying pool , and waved to Roscoe as he walked off with his camel in ancient Egypt . Who would believe that tall tale !? Truly , the whole thing is too far from both Christian and Aboriginal beliefs to hold any water at all . Even his lovely pagan witches dancing naked in moonlight and evoking the Horned God , would rolled their eyes to Heaven , thinking the old guy has at last lost his few remaining marbles . Roscoe also questions the motivation of a Christian, Muslim and Jewish archangel. What business does he have showing up in the forests of British Columbia. Is he really the same guy Aboriginals call, Raven. Not likely! Roscoe knows his girls would not laugh at him. They are too polite for that. He knows Amber would smile and say, “What have you been smoking, my love?” In this, Roscoe now knows what anyone seeing a UFO must feel like, trying to explain it, or even describe the event to other people . Roscoe was not at all inclined to talk about it , at least not for awhile .

New Year's Surprise
I entered the pub to start my New Year's shift. I knew it was going to be a crazy night. It is every year. I've worked here for four years now. The job wears on you, but I love the nightlife. I had on my favorite tight black pants and a black shimmery blouse. Pretty basic but as a bartender I usually end up a mess by the end of the shift.
