Fanfiction As Sex Education: Good or Bad?. Top Story - September 2021.
I read my first fanfiction when I was about 12. By my current (and most avid fanfiction reader's standards), it was an amateur fic that was cliche and the storyline was mostly author self-serving. However, my 12-year-old self found happiness in the story, surprised something like it even existed.

The Quarry... (Part One)
Quietly I sit perched high above the ground watching, waiting, patient. Knowing if I wait long enough you’ll come to me. I know I’ve left a trail, albeit a false one, but still close enough that my quarry will pass by my location unaware that I’m above watching, biding my time... waiting for the moment when you are most vulnerable. When you feel you guaranteed a successful capture. However, as usual you’ve underestimated me and you are going to pay dearly for that mistake.

That Cougar Thing? Totally Legit!
Nearly a decade ago, I went through a divorce and started dating for the first time as an adult. When friends suggested I write about my experiences, I started a blog. I have been "revisiting" some of my former exploits lately, and decided to share, using my real name, for the first time.

My Secret Lover...
MY SECRET LOVER The way we met was so unusual. I went to Books A Million to look for books, which I can spend hours looking through. I was searching for a book on the erotic artist Soyarama, whom I absolutely love. But I was unable to find anything so I went to the help counter and who appeared, but a sweet doe eyed pixie with beautiful eyes and a kewpy doll mouth. I asked about the book and she checked her computer saying they didn’t have it in stock but could order it for me. Since I don’t live in Brunswick I said no, I’d order it local. She asked what kind of book it was and I said he’s an erotic artist and described my favorite picture to her. She then pulled out her favorite “erotic art” book from behind the counter and we began to page through the book. Our conversation flowed so easily and we both seemed very comfortable After finishing looking through the book we talked freely about other things. I asked if she liked poetry and she said yes. So I asked her if she’s ever hear of Punany Poetry and she squealed yes, she’d seen it on “Real Sex on HBO”. We talked about a couple of our favorite episodes and then she asked if I ever heard of the Suicide Girls - I said oh yeah I love them. She told me that she wanted to be one and I said so did I. Now mind you they are very different - in order to become one you have to have either and/or tattoos and piercings. They do pictures and have a traveling erotic show - to which she asked if I ever wanted to go and of course I said yes. I started to show her my tattoos and she came around the counter to show me hers and we talked about our piercing’s and it was just amazing. She loved, what she called, “my garden of Eden” on my left leg. That’s when she asked for my number and quickly gave me hers (plus we exchanged e-mail addresses).

the wet muse
Rain was the perfect weather to walk around in. I loved watching the people scurry into their houses, afraid of getting wet. But you didn’t seem afraid of it sitting on the bench waiting for the bus. You seemed resigned to being soaked by circumstance, your white shirt clinging to you as he stared at the street in front of you. No eyes scanning down the street for the perpetually off schedule bus or staring at your phone. You didn’t hug yourself trying to stave off the chill. Perhaps you weren’t chilled.

Changing The Lines
I have played around with different careers and roles in my life. I have been a farmer, raising hogs and chickens and growing grain crops. I have been a presenter and a director in a Science Centre. I have hosted my own radio show and, in fact, got married “on the air” in an attempt to allow more people to attend the ceremony and, to cut down on costs, of course. I have been teacher for over 30 years and I have been a student for another 20. During the time I was teaching, I decided to do something to help perfect my craft. I decided to enroll in a Stand-Up Comedy course offered by a near-by College. I felt that if I could stand in front of an audience and bare my soul by telling jokes and stories, I would somehow be more natural and entertaining in my day job of teaching. One of the exercises that my fellow students and I had to complete was to take lines from any movie and change them in a way that would turn the film into a comedy of sorts. Whatever genre the movie started out as, it would now become a comedy because of our line changes. My attempts at this assignment are offered below. I do believe, however, that the changes appear much funnier, if indeed, the reader has previously viewed the film in question. Regardless, read on, and hopefully enjoy.
