So Many Doors
"Mommy?" a small boy's voice says behind her. She turns around quickly, looking around for the little boy, but all that is around her are the seven other girls. Each one is dressed in different phases of undress, some almost wearing nothing at all. The white light of the streetlamp burns down upon her. She looks down at her hands, seeing the burning cigarette almost completely burned down to the filter, and takes one last drag before tossing it into the wet pavement of the road.

November 3
The phone rang and woke me up. It was Tami chattering away about the good time she had at the concert Halloween night, how her friends liked me, loved the Bonneville. Said it was like a party on wheels. “Two couches with a V-8” I believe the phrase was. Said we have to go to a concert again sometime. No mention of the after concert.

When A Dirty Bookstore Visit Get's Out Of Control
So, after an incredible first night and a great weekend, it was time to head back to our normal lives. Still, we had some time before getting home and a long car ride that could lead to some fun. In the spirit of the weekend, I suggested as we were packing, that my babe wear the nice black little summer dress we picked up along our shopping trip the day before.

You Must Always Be Quiet in the Library
Eve sat behind her desk organizing a stack of books before placing them on the cart behind her. She sighed to herself. Putting books back on the shelves was the most boring part of her job, all because people couldn’t be considerate. She stacked the last few on the cart and leaned back in her chair with an eye roll before scanning her library. A few people sat at the computers across from her and others at tables with large textbooks strewn about. She leaned forward onto her elbows, watching the students and thinking about her morning.

The Shane Journals
My smile slid from my face like panties down a whore’s legs, the moment I set my phone down. I stood from the chair before my vanity and gave myself one more glance over before I headed into my interview. My hair was pulled tight into a ponytail at the back of my head, its ends reaching well below my shoulder blades. Not a frizz or stray hair out of place. My dark, honey eyes examined my makeup next. My naturally high-cheekbones would make the contouring gods weep. My ruby red lips twitched at the thought. I relished in making gods weep, or at least those who liked to think themselves as such. I straightened the black bowtie wrapped around the collar of my starch white, buttoned blouse tucked into my high-waisted, black gaucho pants. I turned on my black, laced-up peep-toe heels to look over my shoulder and make sure the back of my ensemble was a match to the pristine front. Even I couldn't keep my eyes from my curvy ass. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too much of a distraction. Then again, I did always like to correct them when they were distracted.

Why is Erotica "Trashy"?
From 50 Shades of Gray to every trashy romance novel sold for 50 cents on the dollar, erotica is considered the bastion of the creatively deaf author. Its most well-known titles, such as the one mentioned previously, are notoriously (and genuinely) awful. Filled with awful prose, stilted dialogue, and laughably bad sex scenes erotica isn't exactly what one would call 'high brow.' However, is erotica irrevocably bad, or has it been unfairly shoved to the wayside due to societal taboos?
