I Would Destroy This World for You - Chapter 5
Reese and Anthony arrive in Japan and there is much carnage. Deadeye makes his debut.

{{This is going to be a long one. But what a ride!! ENJOY!!}}
Anthony sat in the huge office, his eyes taking in everything within the dark wooden laminated room. It was dark and expensively gaudy. He was dressed in a pair of black jeans and a white button down shirt, a black leather vest opened over that, his hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. Reese sat beside him, dressed in all black, pants, long sleeve t-shirt and boots. His mouth and nose was covered by a black neoprene ski mask that was embellished with crimson flames, the mask going down to cover his neck. His dark eyes cold as he sat staring ahead. They had been waiting for close to five minutes and Anthony was getting antsy.
“Don't fidget in your chair.”, Reese said softly.
Anthony looked at him a moment, he hated the mask, it hid most of Reese's handsome features but Reese was known and so to keep people from realizing that a Hero was here to meet with a very powerful underworld figure it was best that Reese didn't look like the Hero that everyone thought he was. His hair draped over his shoulders and covered one of his eyes. He'd left his weapons back at their rented house in the city, knowing there was no way he would be able to bring them in.
“He's kept us waiting for far too long.”, Anthony sighed softly, leaning back into the plush chair he was seated in and crossing his legs.
Reese chuckled softly.
“It's to make us feel uneasy and anxious. He'll be here in another minute. Guaranteed. By then he thinks we will be unnerved and will listen to any outlandish offer he gives us.”, Reese said.
His voice and mood had gotten a bit darker since they landed in Japan, almost like he was brooding. But whenever Anthony asked about it, he simply said he was done being the “happy, caring one”. All he cared about was Anthony. It was exactly a minute when the door at the back of the office opened and someone walked in. Reese slowly turned his head and watched the large man walk from the door to his left side towards the desk. He was handsome, short cropped black hair and an immaculate black suit. He was very heavily muscled and walked with an air of someone with ultimate power. Reese watched his movement, reading him in just a few seconds as he smirked under his mask. Anthony looked up once the man was at the desk and had sat down.
“My apologies for keeping you waiting. I had someone else that required my attention. So, shall we begin?”, he said, his English was nearly perfect, though he was obviously native Japanese.
Anthony nodded.
“I heard you are trying to grow your reach.”, he said, looking from Anthony to Reese and then back again.
“Among other things. My Boss is looking to find like minded individuals to help him achieve his ultimate goal.”, Reese said evenly.
The man looked at Reese a moment, studying him as if trying to remember where he had seen him before. Then he turned and looked at Anthony.
“And what is that goal?”, he asked.
“What any red blooded Villain wants. Total control over their surroundings, subjugation of the weak minded masses, infinite reach across the world to influence, torment and terrorize. The deletion of Heroes.”, Anthony said with a smile.
The man behind the desk smiled and leaned forward, seeming more interested now.
“Go on.”, he almost purred.
Anthony smiled, a sinister air taking hold of him in his excitement.
“People in this world covet Heroes, they see them as the start all and end all but never once think about those that the Heroes exile. They see us as Villains when all we want is to live life by our own rules, do as we please and not have to answer to anyone for it. Where is the villainy in that? There are more of us in this world then there are Heroes and yet we worry about our own regions, terrorizing our homelands and pursuing single-minded goals. In my mind, if we were all to combine our forces and unify, we could have so much more. Why just rule over Japan with fear when you can sow the seeds of fear here and in the U.S.? Why just worry about one city when it can be a state or a country? A Nation? That is my vision.”, Anthony said, looking at the man seriously.
The man smiled at him.
“I've heard about you, Anthony Matomoi aka Leech aka Duplicity. You are an interesting specimen, someone who was once a Hero and now follows in the footsteps of Villains. What does your brother think of this?”, the man asked.
Anthony smirked, Reese had filled him in on this man's tricks and he was living up to the intel.
“My brother is of no consequence, Kogi Nakamota aka Slab. He is far more worried about his City then he is with what I am doing. And this is my will, my desire and my ultimate end goal. He can either understand, realize and accept that or be trampled with the other Heroes.”, Anthony said, a cold smirk on his face and vicious glint in his eyes.
“I hear you have no power of your own. Is that true?”, Kogi asked.
Anthony laughed.
“I have a power, it's just not a power that many have lived to cultivate to it's full potential.”, Anthony said, motioning to Reese.
Reese stood and bowed to Kogi respectfully.
“Please don't move.”, Reese said as he pulled a rubber band from his pocket.
He grabbed a handful of paperclips from the cup on Kogi's desk and worked them to each have a hooked end quickly.
“Since my associate couldn't bring a gun into your office, this is the best we can do for a demonstration. Allow me to introduce Deadeye.”, Anthony said, relaxing back into his chair.
Reese straightened the the end of three paperclips and then hooked one into the rubber band that he had stretched between his thumb and index finger. In rapid succession, he fired the paperclips into three small pinholes behind Kogi. Kogi turned to look and his eyes widened just slightly but he turned back around to look at Anthony and Reese as Reese sat back down.
“There are six cameras in this room, hidden behind the paneling. Deadeye just took out three.”, Anthony smiled.
He took the rubber band from Reese, careful not to touch his skin as he stretched the rubber band between his own fingers and took a practice shot. The paperclip he used flew behind him, being released too late, and hit the floor with a clatter. Kogi watched as Anthony tried again, this time the paperclip fired off to Anthony's right, hitting the floor the same as the first. Then Anthony reached out and laid his hand upon Reese's arm. After a moment, he stood and grabbed the last of the paperclips Reese had prepared. He turned and after three quick shots, the paperclips had sank home in three more pinholes in the walls. He sat down and handed the rubber band back to Reese, touching his hand this time.
“You will now place your right hand on the desk in front of you and, using your other hand, drive this through it. Your Hardening power is not allowed in this little exhibition.”, Anthony said, tossing a carbon fiber knife onto the desk that he had taken from Reese's boot.
It wouldn't have set off any of the alarms and was expertly hidden so it couldn't be found in a pat down. Kogi laughed for a moment but stopped as his hand planted itself onto the desk in front of him against his will. He then watched his other hand pick up the carbon fiber knife and raised it high.
“W-wait...”, he said, his eyes wide as he tried to understand what was happening.
As he started to bring the knife down into the back of his right hand, Anthony spoke.
“Stop!”, He said.
The knife stopped an inch from Kogi's hand as he looked up at Anthony who was smiling at him coldly.
“Most of my kind die in infancy from various ailments and illnesses. Others who have escaped that fate, can only mimic one power. I can mimic three.”, Anthony said.
Kogi tried to drop the knife but found that he couldn't release his fingers or move his hands. He looked up at Anthony and Reese, alittle bit of fear in his brown eyes.
“Don't worry, we aren't here to hurt you or kill you. Just to unify. Drop the knife.”, Anthony said.
Kogi watched as his fingers immediately opened, dropping the carbon fiber knife to the desk.
“So what do you say?”, Anthony grinned, leaning forward with a wicked grin.
Anthony smiled brightly as they left the office building, Reese walking beside him, a pair of sunglasses covering his face along with his mask.
“That was alittle easier then expected.”, Anthony said, looking over his shoulder at Reese.
Reese laughed softly.
“I don't think he expected you to be so ruthless or passionate about what you had to say.”, Reese chuckled.
Anthony smiled brightly at him.
“And the demonstration seemed to prove we weren't just all talk.”, Anthony added.
Reese nodded as he slipped into the driver's side of their black rental car.
“Now all we have to do is deal with these four and the alliance will be sealed.”, Anthony said, pulling four slips of paper from his vest pocket to look at them.
He pulled out his phone, having traded his other one in before they came to Japan so Marcus couldn't use it to track him. He started typing the first address into the Search Engine and in a moment, a route was found.
“Seat belt, Beautiful.”, Reese said, pressing the button to turn on the car.
Anthony set his phone on his lap and put on his seat belt, as they pulled out into traffic and started towards their house, he picked up the phone and looked at the route.
“This first one....” - he looked at the paper - “....Shino Yamagori is only twenty minutes outside of the city. Not far from Matsue.”
“What's their power?”, Reese asked, keeping his eyes on the road.
Anthony looked at the slip of paper and smirked.
“Hardening. Like Kogi. Hero Name: Steel.”, Anthony said.
“Should be interesting. What about the next one?”, he asked.
Anthony reached into his pocket and pulled out another slip of paper.
“Huh.”, he huffed.
Reese glanced at him, then looked back at the road.
“What?”, he asked.
“Same place. Yuki Yamagori. Hero Name: Warp. Apparently, she's a Warp Gate.”, Anthony said, looking at the paper.
Reese nodded.
“We can deal with them tonight. Next?”, he asked.
Anthony reached into his pocket pulling out the next target as they drove through the afternoon traffic.
Reese lay on the roof of the house across from the Yamagori house, watching through the scope of his sniper rifle as Anthony moved to the front door of the house. Their front gate was open and when Reese rang the bell, he was told to come to the front door after only vaguely speaking to the man, telling him that he was lost. Reese listened through the microphone app on Anthony's phone as he watched. The man came to the door and he looked young, the paper with his information said that he was about thirty six years old. Anthony smiled as the man opened the door.
“Good evening, sir. I'm sorry to bother you but my car ran out of gas and I can't seem to get through on my phone. I think I'm out of a charge.”, Anthony said.
Surprisingly, the man understood him and nodded.
“No worries. The signal out here is terrible. You can come use our phone if you remember the number.”, the man said opening the door.
He was slightly taller then Anthony and firmly muscled, if he lived in the States, he could have easily been a bodybuilder. He had short cut brown hair with light brown eyes and a scar on his left temple. Anthony bowed as he entered the house, taking his shoes off in the foyer. The man led him into the house and motioned to the cordless phone on the long table in the hallway. Anthony picked up the phone and dialed, then put the phone to his ear. After two rings, Reese picked up the other end. Anthony quickly recited a combination of 10 numbers into the receiver.
“Roadside Assistance. Gavin speaking. How can I help you this evening, Mr. Matomoi?”, Reese said.
Anthony smiled.
“Yes, my car is out of gas. I'm ...um....”, Anthony turned to Shino standing not far from him.
“Where am I?”, he asked.
“Kyobashi. Not far from Yumekyobasji Castle Road.”, Shino offered.
Anthony nodded and got back onto the phone, relaying the information.
“Alright, Mr. Matomoi. Stay where you are, we will have someone at your location shortly. ETA is twenty minutes.”, Reese said.
“Ah! Wonderful. Thank you!”, Anthony said, hanging up.
“Twenty minutes.”, he said, turning to Shino.
Shino smiled and nodded.
“Glad they could get someone out that quickly. Usually it's about an hour in this countryside.”, Shino said.
Anthony laughed.
“Get what you pay for.”, Anthony said.
He held his hand out to Shino who took it and gave him a firm shake. He tried to pull his hand back but Anthony didn't release him, still smiling at him. Shino blinked and looked up into Anthony's blue eyes, his right brow twitching just slightly.
“Tell me. Are you home alone?”, Anthony asked softly.
Shino blinked, trying again to take his hand back but Anthony had a tight grip upon it.
“I get it. You're here to rob me. Was that even Roadside Assistance on the phone just now? I have to warn you, I'm no push over.”, Shino growled, his free hand balled into a fist.
“Good. I'm looking forward to a fight.”, Anthony grinned, licking his lips.
Shino moved in a flurry, his free hand aimed at Anthony's face. Anthony swept back, the fist missing his head and embedding into the wall instead. He activated the stolen power, his skin instantly becoming as hard as steel. Shino pulled his fist from the wall and activate his own hardening power, tackling Anthony hard to the hallway floor. Anthony laughed and punched Shino in the jaw, the sound of metal against metal hard in the hallway. There was someone in the kitchen as Anthony heard a female's voice.
“Shino?! What's wrong?”, she called as she looked out of the kitchen door.
Shino looked back quickly.
“Someone's come to rob us, Yuki. I'll handle this.”, Shino called to her.
“Will you really?”, Anthony laughed, twisting his body to throw Shino hard into the wall.
As Shino was tossed, there was a loud crash as he hit the table in the hallway, destroying two of it's legs and making it fall over to spill it's contents to the floor. Anthony quickly pulled himself from the floor and looked at Yuki. Already she was shrouded in a swirling blue cloud. She moved her hand to open a warp gate under Anthony to teleport him away and he smiled.
“Yuki Yamagori, Stop. Open a warp gate under Shino.”, Anthony said.
Yuki flinched but turned her glowing blue eyes upon her husband. Shino had just pulled himself from the floor when the warp gate opened under him and he started to sink into it. Shino yelped in surprise and looked a her.
“Yuki? What are you doing?!”, he yelled, as he sank into the Warp Gate up to his waist.
Anthony looked at Shino and smiled.
“I'm not here to rob you, Shino Yamagori. An old acquaintance of yours sent me. Kogi.”, Anthony said.
Shino's eyes widened, then he planted his hands on the floor outside of the Warp Gate and started trying to climb back out. Anthony turned to Yuki and grinned coldly.
“Close the Warp Gate, Yuki.”, he said.
“Yuki! NO!”, Shino screamed.
But it was too late. She had closed the opening with his bottom half inside of it, bisecting him across his abdomen. He screamed in pain as his blood and entrails started to spew out across the floor, his top half falling back onto the floor as tears of pain started to fall from his eyes. Anthony moved to him and bent down over him, looking into his eyes as the color started to drain from them, blood pouring from his mouth.
“I'm really sorry it had to be like this, Shino. I don't know what you did to Kogi that he wanted you dead but a deal is a deal.”, Anthony smiled down at him, the hardening fading from his skin as he watched Shino gasp.
“...p-please....d-don't....hurt.....y-yuki.....”, Shino begged, quickly losing feeling in his arms as his vision started to fade.
Anthony turned and looked at Yuki.
“Yuki, turn off your Warp Gate and go outside to the front walk.”, Anthony said.
Yuki did as instructed, the blue cloud around her fading into her and disappearing. She then walked past Anthony and Shino, heading out the front door. Anthony looked back at Shino.
“...n—no...p—please....”, Shino coughed, struggling to stay awake.
“Don't worry, Shino. We aren't going to take her. In fact, she's going to be waiting for you on the other side.”, Anthony said, looking up to watch Yuki exit the house.
She stepped onto the front walk and stopped. A moment later, there was the sharp crack of a gun shot and the back of Yuki's skull exploded. Her body crumpled to the walk, lifeless. Anthony looked down at Shino and smiled.
“What kind of heartless bastard would I be to tear apart such a loving couple?”, Anthony asked, standing and moving towards the door.
“Thank you for allowing me to use your phone. Kindness like yours is hard to come by.”, Anthony added, leaving the house to go meet Reese at the car.
Shino watched him go with pain hazed eyes, his vision quickly fading to black as his life bled out of him in the hallway.
Reese came out of the shower and moved into the bedroom, a towel wrapped around his waist as he walked through the open bedroom door. Anthony was sitting on the bed in a pair of black pajamas, the shirt open as he looked down at the laptop in his lap. The screen's glow making his skin look flawless. He looked away from the screen and smiled at Reese.
“Looks like we will have to take out the other two tomorrow and get out of Japan.”, Anthony said, closing the laptop.
Reese ran the towel in his hands over his hair, drying it more.
“Why?”, he asked.
“Well, seems Marcus, Rayven and Rand are on their way. His phone was just turned into airplane mode. Looks like they are headed this way.”, Anthony sighed, standing to put his laptop back into it's carrying case.
Reese smirked, watching Anthony bend over to put his laptop away. He dropped the towel in his hand to the floor and moved across the bedroom quickly, coming up behind Anthony as he stood up. Anthony gasped in surprise when he felt Reese's hands wrap around his waist. As he stood up, a pair of hungry lips met his neck, kissing every inch of his exposed skin.
“If they are leaving now, they won't be here until later. And once they land, they will need recovery time. We have plenty of time to do what we need to. Besides, Rand doesn't do well on planes.”, Reese said in his ear.
Anthony shivered.
“Do you think we will be able to get to the other two and get on our next flight before they catch up?”, Anthony asked, raising his hand to lightly touch the back of Reese's head.
“I'm sure of it. Even if the other two put up more of a fight.”, Reese said, nipping Anthony's neck softly.
Reese pulled him back into his chest, his hands moving up Anthony's abdomen to his chest. Anthony whimpered softly.
“It's two in the morning. W-we should get some sleep for tomorrow.”, Anthony said softly, his body trembling.
“We will get plenty of sleep.”, Reese said, kissing down Anthony's shoulder.
Anthony groaned softly as Reese pulled the open pajama top down, he lowered his arms so the top fell to the floor at his feet. Reese turned them towards the bed, pulling Anthony down onto his knees with him as he kept kissing his shoulder.
“You're so beautiful.”, Reese whispered to him softly as he slid his hands along Anthony's sides, working his pajama pants down to fall away from his skin.
Anthony gasped as he realized Reese had dropped his towel as well. Reese moved his knees between Anthony's legs opening them more as he leaned forward more, nestling Anthony into the bed.
“You're just saying that to have your way with me.”, Anthony teased.
“I'm telling you that because it's true.”, Reese said, grinding his erection into Anthony's baby soft skin.
Anthony gasped softly, already grabbing the blanket on the bed tightly as he moved back against Reese, pressing back into him hard and making them both moan loudly. Reese moved his hands up to Anthony's nipples, pinching them firmly. Anthony arched his back, crying out passionately as Reese leaned in and grazed his teeth over Anthony's shoulder, moving up to his neck. Anthony leaned his head to the side, allowing him better access to his skin. He was rewarded with a sharp bite to the side of his neck, another cry of pleasure erupting from him. Reese shifted behind him and pushed deeply into him, groaning as Anthony's tight, warmth engulfed him. They both shuddered, Anthony falling forward to the bed more as he reached back to rest his hand on Reese's waist. As Reese started thrusting into him, Anthony closed his eyes, the enjoyment making his heart pound and his breathing ragged.
“Oh god.”, Anthony gasped, as Reese once more found that special spot.
Reese smiled.
“God has nothing to do with this, Beautiful. It's all me.”, Reese groaned softly in his ear.
The Marketplace was a warzone and Aia Funaki had no idea how she wound up in this position. She was boxed into a shop now with four other people, blood running from the bullet wound in her right shoulder. The Marketplace was closed off and the Festival started at eleven in the evening, the shooting started at eleven thirty. Aia had come to the Festival with her friend and work partner, Hana Ito. They had been separated when the people started screaming and running. She looked back at the people behind her all huddled behind the shop's counter. She had to find Hana. She opened the door and glanced out, the streets were empty. Where the Hell were the police?! She looked back at the people and motioned for them to remain in the building and to keep quiet, she was unsure what was going on but she had to go out. She slipped out the door quickly and closed it, glancing up and down the deserted street. She pressed her back to the wall and started moving towards the alleyway three doors away. She'd abandoned her shoes in the store and was in her socks right now. At least if she needed to run, her shoes wouldn't stop or trip her. As she came closer to the alleyway, she could hear someone struggling. She was shaking and afraid. What was going on?!? Was someone really foolish enough to attack a Celebration for the City's Heroes and if so, why?? She slowly peeked into the alleyway, hearing a woman gasp and cough. Instantly, her heart leapt into her throat. It was Hana! She was down on the ground and some guy was sitting on her. His hands were around Hana's throat and she was gasping for air, her face red as a beet as she clawed at his hands, trying to tear them away as he was trying to strangle the life from her. He was dressed in all black, his strawberry blonde hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. His bright blue eyes were cold and full of rage as he glared at Hanna. She couldn't use her power of Invisibility like this, the guy already had his hands on her.
“HANA!”, Aia screamed, bolting into the alleyway.
With her power of speed, she closed the distance of ten feet in a matter of seconds. The man didn't have a chance to react as her foot caught him in the side of the head, kicking him off. He grunted and fell to the side, sliding two feet away from Hana as his hands released her. She gasped, air tearing painfully into her lungs and the spots that were covering her vision starting to fade. Aia moved to the guy and grabbed him by the hair, flipping him over onto his stomach as he yelped in pain and surprise at her strength. She sat down on his back and still grasping his ponytail, pulling back hard, earning another yelp from him as she put torque on his neck and spine. She looked at Hana.
“Hana! Call the others!”, she screamed at her.
Hana sat up, still coughing and pulled her phone from her pocket. The sharp crack of a gunshot echoed in the alleyway and the phone in Hana's hand exploded in a flash of sparks, plastic and glass as it was blown apart. Hana and Aia looked up to see another man at the end of the alleyway, moving towards them, a gun in his hand and pointed at them. Hana got up quickly and there was another crack. She yelped sharply as the bullet tore through her right knee, dropping her to the ground hard. The man moved quickly to them and bent down, his knee coming to Hana's chest as the still smoking muzzle of the gun rested upon her forehead. He was dressed in all black, the mask on his face embroidered with crimson flames. His cold brown eyes looked at Aia as he pressed the gun harder against Hana's head, ignoring her crying and screaming.
“Let him go.”, he ordered sharply.
Aia pulled harder on the guy's strawberry blonde hair, making him yelp loudly.
“Let her go or I'll break his neck!”, she retorted.
The guy in black pulled the gun away from Hana's forehead and pulled back the hammer, pressing the muzzle to Hana's forehead again.
“A broken neck can be fixed. Can you get her brains back into her skull once I spray them across this alley?”, he asked, a smile in his voice.
Hana sobbed under him, her leg bleeding horribly onto the alley ground and laying at an odd angle. Aia growled and released the guy she was sitting on reluctantly, slowly getting up off of him to stand beside him. The guy pushed up from the ground, his hand going back to rub his aching neck.
“Fuck sake! That HURT!”, he grumbled.
“Sorry about that, love.”, the guy in black said.
The blonde stood, stretching his back and still rubbing his neck.
“It would have been helpful to know just how fast she was or – I don't know – put a bullet in her knee so she couldn't run!”, the blonde grumbled, turning to glare at the one in black.
The guy in black chuckled softly.
“Super speed, Beautiful. Once she was in motion, my accuracy rate falls to about fifty percent.”, he offered.
“That's a gamble you should have taken. A foot to the face at about Mach One isn't a pleasant feeling.”, he groaned, rubbing his cheek.
Aia noticed the blonde's cheek where she kicked him was already starting to bruise. The guy with the gun didn't look too happy, his eyes falling upon Aia hatefully.
“You bruised him!”, he growled angrily.
“He was trying to kill my friend!”, Aia screamed at him.
The guy with the gun reached into his boot and produced what looked to Aia like a carbon fiber knife, the blade an oddly clear and beautiful blue. He tossed it to the blonde who caught it easily.
“Fine, Aia Funaki. Take that blade from him and saw your head off. That's payback for kicking him in the face.”, he instructed.
Aia's eyes widened at his request and she would have laughed if she hadn't felt her body start to move, her hand reaching out to take the knife from the blonde. She struggled to stop herself but couldn't, her arm bringing the knife to her neck and cutting deeply. She screamed in pain as blood started to trickle from her slashed throat.
“And don't scream!”, the guy with the gun instructed.
Hana looked at her and screamed.
“Aia! NO!”, she screamed, squirming under her assailant.
He pulled the trigger and there was a sound like something tearing through a ripe melon, then Hana went limp under him, blood starting to pool under the back of her head and a horrible, smoking black hole in her forehead. Aia wanted to scream but she couldn't, her mouth and vocal cords not working as she struggled to command them. Her hand was still moving the knife's blade across her throat in a sawing motion, shearing the skin, veins and muscle painfully and slowly. The guy with the gun stood up and moved to the blonde, pulling his own mask down as he came to him. In other more favorable circumstances, Aia would have thought them both very handsome. He holstered the gun behind his back and raised his hands to the other one's jaw, turning his head slightly so he could see the bruise better.
“Damn it! We need to ice this.”, he said softly, leaning in to kiss the other's now purple cheek very softly.
The blonde nodded.
“I'm sorry, Beautiful, I didn't think she would react so quickly. I planned to put a bullet in the back of her head and let you have your fun but she was much faster then I anticipated. I won't make that mistake a second time. No one will ever get that close to you again.”, the one in black said as he pulled the blonde into his arms, hugging him lovingly and kissing his lips softly.
Aia saw the blonde flinch in pain.
“Ow! My lips are stinging from that kick.”, the blonde whined.
The guy with the gun was about to speak when the sound of sirens caught his attention. He and the blonde turned and moved towards the other end of the alley, bolting to the exit. That was the last thing Aia saw before her vision faded to black, the knife having severed the carotid artery in her neck a few moments ago.
