Exclusive Interview with Cult Filmmaker: Roscoe Forthright

Gina Swan: How many of your films have I been in Roscoe?

Roscoe Forthright: At least 99%! I lose track. I know you weren’t in Witch Sisters: Capt Evil— I was not even in that one. That was Eva, Bea, Rosalee and the handsome young man with the huge cock. I forget his name. The girls loved working with that big cock. And he was a smart and friendly person as well.

Gina: With the rising popularity of Grindhouse-style films, your movies are getting a lot of attention. Even your older R-rated TV shows are popular on the web. Which TV shows have had the most internet views?

Roscoe: Probably the most popular one is the 28-min show Submit to Dr. Moze. Last time I looked it had over 241,000 views. Another popular TV show is Dr. Moze – Inside You, at 26,000 views. Of course, my X-rated movies get the most attention. There are many short clips on RedTube, all the ones you put up there. Thank you for that, Gina!! People like those teaser clips, Rogue Nuns.3 has over 47,000 views.

Gina: Where are your best movies? Where do our X-rated films get the most play?

Roscoe: That would be on hotmovies.com. They have tens of thousands of hours of porn of all kinds. And I am glad to be part of that collection. It is a well run site, user friendly, with lots of user options. A person can watch clips from a film, or watch or download the whole film. My best X-rated films are all on hotmovies.com

Gina: Let’s talk about porn. I know you have very different goals from most adult-movie film producers. You honestly love and enjoy your girls. And you are loyal to us. Four or five of us are in most of your movies. You always treat us well and pay us well. I biggest difference between you and other porn filmmakers I have met is simple: You are not an asshole. The porn business, in fact the whole film business in general, seems to be run by egomaniac, control-freak assholes.

Roscoe: You are right about that. From the beginning I deliberately chose pretty women I personally like, women I knew I could be friends with over a long period of time. I have no interest in revolving-door sloppy pussies doors, hundreds of girls passing through, and no one even remembering their names. That is just stupid and a waste of everyone’s time. The movies are fake, fake, fake and boring. You know from the first two-seconds of most porn films, no one in the room actually cares about each other. They are there for vanity and cash. That is all. Not one speck of human kindness or human love. Doggie love, maybe. Goat love.

Gina: That is really the whole story right there: You honestly love the people around you, and that shows in everything you do. It makes your films 100% more interesting than most porn, and more fun than most films we get on Netflix, Amazon, and all the other big-budget vendors and distributors. Is there anything you would like to say directly to your audience?

Roscoe: Yes. The best film-making and story-telling is not coming from the big players. Even the film festival circuit is full of hype, and dominated by agenda-pushing movies, where the creators only purpose is to push some social or political agenda in our faces. That makes for awful movies. My own intention is to make sexy movies which are pleasant and fun. FUN!! When did film-makers stop believing FUN is important? This is the greatest value of 1960s, 70s, and 80s grindhouse and sexploitation films. They were pushing no agenda. They were made as a form of fun. Hot, friendly big-breasted girls running and screaming, getting spanked and having cheerful sex!! That’s what I like in a movie!!
