New to the neighborhood, Carter's mom insisted he go aid the kindly old man out on his lawn, struggling to start his push mower.
Carter approached the man with a smile, "what do YOU want?" the old man barked.
"My mom thought you might need some help, hi, I'm Carter, we're your new neighbors." He could barely get it out, before the man waved him inside. Being polite, Carter followed.
Inside were newspaper articles strewn about and hung on the wall of WWII and the holocaust. "You a reporter?" Carter asked nervously.
"Nah," he spewed, "just a job I had."

Just another day another dollar.
Brutal story. Well done Kelli. Imagine if young people today really met the past face to face. 🥰
