Yarrr, I've been taken away
An unlikely story about a pirate
The air was so clear you could almost see beyond the horizon. Even if there was nothing to see. Just blue sea and sky going on for what seemed like forever.
Our ship glimmered in the sunshine. I had just finished polishing the deck, and was taking a break to enjoy the moment of calm so rare in a ship full of oddly cartoonish 18th century pirates.
How I, a 21st century software developer, had ended up here was anyone's guess.
But it had been my home for the past two weeks and I no longer spent much time trying to understand it.
The hardest part had been learning the Bristol accent, but after that it had been smooth sailing.
I hope you forgive the maritime pun. I am very unhappy here.
