Written In Snow
For The Vocal Snow Micro Challenge

You never trusted me.
You believed the stories that others told you, but they were not true.
Churchill said:
"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
That was certainly what happened with you and me.
I showed you what I could do, and others appreciated my achievements, as did I, but it is far easier to believe a lie that tells you what you want to hear, than a truth that means that you would have to engage with me.
This requires no great hardship on your part, just the acceptance that what I did was right.
I know that will not happen and you will repeat those lies to others who will have the same attitude to me as you do.
I will keep doing the right thing, but I know that I am not long for this place, and when I am gone you will blame me for all that goes wrong because I am not there to keep things in check and put things right.
You said that my work and promises may as well be "Written In Snow" because they had no substance and would melt away and be forgotten.
It is winter and the snow is falling but my work and promises are a lot more resilient than the falling snow covering the roads and gardens.
I could make a snowman and he would have more substance than the lies you choose to believe.

Phenomenal work Mike! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This feels strongly personal, but also relatable at the same time. “but it is far easier to believe a lie that tells you what you want to hear, than a truth that means that you would have to engage with me.” is powerful, and very true Mike! I like the ending too, and how the works and promises endure through snow.
Been there, suffered that, it's not fun. Blessings to you, Mike.
Hard-hitting and interesting imagery. If the piece is autographical, the antagonist blessed you with a good image. That happened to me. too.
'You said that my work and promises may as well be "Written In Snow" because they had no substance and would melt away and be forgotten.' Gut punch. Well done!
Oh my, "You said that my work and promises may as well be "Written In Snow" because they had no substance and would melt away and be forgotten." Stunning imagery
So sorry Mike.❤️
This was really sad however I hope you know your true value; I have had to fight for mine. I want to believe TRUTH comes out in the end, but honestly, I really don't know anymore. Hugs
