When Destiney Washed His Face

Life has really not been easy for this man; he has been trying his best to succeed as a man, yet things keep getting hard on him. He is the only son in his family and his parents are just village farmers. When he was in school, he was very brilliant and did well in all the subjects that he offered. He had the motive of furthering his studies up to the university level but he had one great challenge: financial support. Clearly his parents struggle to provide for their family, not to mention sponsoring him at the university. The young man was left with no option than to abandon his academic ambitions and learn a skill.

His parents begged one of their village men who is a fashion and designer to teach the guy how to sew clothes. The man accepted to teach him but will never buy him tailoring materials and machines at the end of his apprenticeship. The guy’s parents agreed, hoping to raise some funds before the end of their son’s skill acquisition to buy him everything that he will need to establish his own fashion and design shop. But when the guy finished learning the work, things got even harder for his family. There was no money left for them to rent a shop, neither did they have funds to buy machines. So the guy had to look for something else to do since he couldn’t achieve his tailoring goals.

After so many years, he got to meet his old-time school friend, coincidentally. This his friend came to visit his girlfriend he had met in the city. It was really a beautiful experience for the guy to have met his school-friend once more. They had a good conversation, and in the process, the guy’s friend realized that his friend was jobless at the moment, so he asked him if he could follow him to the city; he agreed. When the guy got home, he told his parents about how he met a friend of his who wishes to take him to the city. His parents couldn’t object to his plans, rather they prayed for him and wished him well.

The following day, the guy arranged his clothes and belongings for the journey and his friend came to his house with his car and carried him. When they got to the city, the guy new that life had to start afresh since he had found himself in a new environment. His friend introduced him to his business partners in the market and told them a little story about how they played together in secondary school.

The guy’s friend is into clothing; he owns about three boutiques in the market. So he asked his friend to join him in one of his shops, his friend did. His friend feeds him three times daily and also gives him money every weekend to buy whatever he wishes. Throughout his stay with his friend, he lacked nothing as a young guy, but then he realized that he was no longer a boy; he needs to settle down as a man and make his own money. He solicited for some funds from his friend after he got experience in the business. His friend didn’t think twice; he rented a shop for him and gave him some money to buy some clothes.

The guy opened his own shop — now he has his own business. After a year, the guy expected his business to be moving forward, but it was practically moving backward. He didn’t just know what he was doing wrong. He tried as much as he could to stay off women because he obviously had no money to keep or maintain a woman. A lot of girls visited him in his shop, hoping that the guy was going to like them and eventually date them, but deep in his mind, he knew he was not prepared to have a girlfriend, haven understood what it was going to cost him to keep one.

One day as he was going home after a terrible day in the market, he met a beautiful fair lady by the roadside that is close to a local stream. He looked at the charming girl three times and couldn’t resist the attraction he felt for the girl. The girl smiled at him and walked up to him. “Hey, good day, my name is queen live in the house nearby, you look so disturbed, hope you’re okay?” The girl said to the guy. The guy didn’t have words for the girl as he has been avoiding them for a long time. But the girl persuaded, “If you don’t wish to say a word, at least tell me your name”. The guy told the girl that his name is “guy”. “Address me as ‘guy,’ Queen. I will be fine with that”. The girl smiled again at the guy.

As they were walking along the road, the girl was talking to the guy in a soft voice and they got along and started discussing other things. The guy was quite surprised when the guy told him about how he’s been suffering and having a hard time in his business. The guy surprisingly became more interested in the girl and asked her how she got to know about all those, but the girl played on him and smiled.

When they got home to the guy’s place, he served the girl some food and they had dinner together. The guy was expecting the girl to announce her leaving but the girl said no word regarding leaving the guys house. At half minutes past eight in the evening, the girl went and lied down on the sofa. The guy got confused and gathered the courage to ask the girl when she will be leaving, she responded, “tomorrow”. Queen said, “I will spend a night here and go back to my house tomorrow, as you can see, it’s already late and I can’t go back anymore. “Do you have any problem with that?” she asked. “No, no,” replied the guy.

In the morning, the guy dressed for the market and left with the girl. The girl told him that she had a solution to his predicaments and would like him to give it a trial. She took the guy to the local stream by the roadside and said, “I want you to come to this stream every weekend and wash your face three times. Once you start doing this, your business will definitely see a drastic positive change and you will come to thank me for this”. The guy left for the market and the girl departed. They didn’t exchange number and the guy didn’t know exactly where the girl lived.

After three months, these guy’s shop improved, he made a lot of sales on a daily basis and became amazed at how he made a huge amount of money he couldn’t make in a year in three months. In less than a year, he secured four shops and fortified them with enough clothes. He wanted to thank the girl for what she did for him, but there was nowhere to find the girl.

One day, as he was washing his face in the local stream which the girl showed him, he saw a very fair girl erupting from the stream, he stopped and waited for the girl to come out, but she didn’t. “Please could you turn your face, the guy asked the girl.” My name is queen, you remember me, don’t you? I know you’ve been looking for me to thank me for what I did for you, I appreciate that. Now you can enjoy your wealth and do not worry about me anymore,” she sank back into the water.

The guy became afraid when he realized that Queen was a water goddess, but it didn’t stop him from visiting the stream to wash his face every week.
