Waterfalls Through The Keyhole2
2025 Through The Keyhole Challenge Part 2

Josie got home from her night shift. The house seems very quiet. She checked on her mother-in-law's bedroom. She was still sound asleep. Suzy usually gets up around 10:30 in the morning, and it was still 8:30 am.
Josie checked the fridge door to see if her daughter had left her a message, like she always does. There was none this morning. She made herself some scrambled eggs, toast, and some Italian Sausage for breakfast.
She turned on the TV and the living room. She loves to watch Murder, She Wrote before going to bed. She finished her breakfast, which she had set on the coffee table. She took the electric blanket that was on the sofa and covered herself with it. She set it for 2 hours at 5 on the heat range.
She hopes to be woken up before her mother-in-law. She fell asleep in the middle of watching the show on TV.
Chloe Meets a Half-Man (teen) and Half-Horse Creature
Chloe got hungry after talking to mermaid Siren at the riverbank near the waterfalls. Siren told her there are plenty of fruits and vegetables in the forest for humans to eat.
Siren warned her not to trust the animals in the forest. She found a bush of blackberries when she got to the middle of the enchanted forest. Butterflies were all around.

Chloe had never seen glowing butterflies before. They were actually fairies that kept the forest lit up at night.
Chloe fell asleep eating the berries. The fairies called out for Morpheus. Morpheus was half boy and half horse.
" Who is this beauty?" Morpheus asked the fairies
"She is Josie's daughter, Chloe," the fairies answered together.
"Should I take her up to the Castle or to the cottage?" he asked for the fairies' direction.
" Take her to your cabin; she will be safer there. We do not want you know who to know she is here in the Kingdom," they whispered.
Morpheus can also fly like a pegasus. He flew her on his back and took her to his Cabin, which is near a cave in the woods.
Morpheus cabin had two bedrooms. He lay Chloe on a soft bed in his cabin and covered her with a blanket while he hunted for food for her breakfast.
Josie Discovered Chloe was Gone:
Josie was woken by a noise in the kitchen. Suzy was trying to find something to eat for breakfast. Josie got up from the sofa and stretched.
She yawned her way to the kitchen. The spell of Suzy's dementia seems to be broken.
"Suzy, what are you doing?" Josie asked, confused.
" I am making us something to eat, and we need to talk,"Suzy answered.
"Your daughter found the key and I do not think she went to school today." Suzy began to tell Josie her concern.
Josie went up to the attic, and the door was shut. You could no longer see the waterfalls through the keyhole. The magic from the enchanted kingdom is broken in their world.
"I am going to call Chloe's school anyway," Josie responded.
Josie pressed Chloe's school number on her cellphone. The office secretary answered. She asked if Chloe went to school today. The secretary checked the classroom attendants and found that Chloe did not come to school.
The secretary got concerned and asked if everything was ok at home.
Josie pretended that she found Chloe still at home and quickly said goodbye to her, Ms. Ramos, the school secretary.
Josie went to the living room and checked the painting above the fireplace. The Skeleton Key was missing from the security mermaid box behind the painting.
(I hope you enjoyed this Waterfall Keyhole enchanted adventure. Stay tuned for part 3.)

Ii need to catch up, dont think I read part 2. It sounds intriguing, great episodes so far. At least Chloe is safe - we hope.
I read one, then three, and now two. It's not the ideal way to read this story! 😉😂😂😂
I love how this chapter deepens the mystery around Chloe and her connection to Morpheus — the mix of fantasy and tension really draws me in. The dearmadta fruit idea is fascinating too; will we find out in the next part whether she truly forgets everything or remembers pieces of the secret waterfall? The imagery of the enchanted mountain and the munchkins’ warning adds such a vivid touch!
This is a great continuation. I really enjoyed how your story blends an ordinary morning routine with an unfolding magical mystery.
-It's so cold that your story makes me want to get an electric blanket like Josie. 🐎That forest looks like a place I would like to be. Are those crystals on the forest grounds 😍 - oooo Morpheus character is so cool. He's also romantic. 🐎 Oh? That is fascinating, and progresses the story forward. The fact that — she went inside —they could no longer see the other side through the key hole. - oh yes I did enjoy it. It is so magical and the atmosphere is brimming with good vibes and enchantment. Love part 2. Fantastic work, Mariann 🤗❤️🖤
Neat story; nicely written! I'd love to have a Morpheus to Flyy me around! lol ☺️
Oh wow, Morpheus is a centaur! So cool! I hope Chloe would be okay. Can't wait for part 3!
✒️What a delightful story & completely unexpected, Ms. Mariann! I started reading and could not stop until the end. You blend realistic and fantasy storylines, as do I. 👏🏼 Though I am still NOT fully back on Vocal (I am writing a three-hundred-page book), I do keep track of writers, here. I am cheering for you!!! 💜
Very enjoyable indeed!
