Dawn of a New Era, Part IV

We all loaded back into the Chevy Equonixes and made our way to the morgue where Doc was performing the autopsies of the victims. I called Tim and Zach in a group call. They answered and I placed them on speaker.

"Ok, so when we get there I need Mariah and Zach to go to Doc and get a Jar of blood from the victim that has the Titan bite on their neck. Probably eight to ten ounces will do," I said.

"Sounds good," Zach said.

"Tim I need you and Jake to go to the armory and get five full loads of .40 caliber iron hollow point ammo. Once you get that meet us back down in the morgue so we can dip the bullets into the blood. Once we are finished I will have McCall get SWAT ready so we can hunt this thing down." I said as Jake drifted around a corner.

"Very well," Tim said. I looked at Jake as I hung up the phone and held on to the roof Handel as Jake kept swerving in and out of traffic.

"Do you have your lights on!" I yelled at Jake. He just laughed, we made it to the security gate of the building. Jake showed the guard his badge and he waved us through. He pulled around to the rear of the building where the morgue was Mariah, Zach and I entered the morgue double doors. Tim and Jake entered the building with us but they took the stairwell at the end of the hall.

"Hey, Doc, do you think you can get us about nine ounces of blood from this one?" Zach asked. Doc nodded and walked over to one of the cabinets on his back wall, he opened it and pulled out a clear glass jar. He walked over to the autopsy table picked up a huge one hundred fifty milliliter syringe stuck it in the neck of the victim and drew the max volume of blood. He then emptied it into the jar, he then repeated it a second time.

"Here you go, this should be ten ounces," Doc said. Doc was an older man probably in his late 50s, he had short grey hair and blue eyes. "Ah, you must be Agent Harper, right?"

"Yes, sir," Mariah said as they shook hands.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Doctor Jeffery Harris. Everyone just calls me Doc." Tim and Jake entered the room with five-one hundred round boxes they placed them on the table next to the blood. They opened the boxes and started dipping as Mariah and Zach loaded the magazines. I went out to the car and opened the trunk of the vehicle. I then grabbed the go bag that was in the back and pulled out five boot knives. I went inside with the knives and dipped them into the blood and resheathed them.

I pulled out my phone and called McCall. He answered, "Assistant Director McCall."

"Yeah, it's James. We found the location and it's not vampires." I said as we started loading the magazines into the empty boxes to take them outside. We proceeded our way outside to the car, Mariah placed the boxes on the hood of the car. Jake went to the back of the car and got his and my bulletproof vests. Tim and Zach went to their vehicles to get theirs.

"Okay, if it's not vampires then what has been doing the killings?" McCall asked as I took off my suit jacket. Jake handed me my vest I started to put it on.

"It's a demon called a Titan, the only way to kill it is by impelling it in the heart by pure iron dipped in the blood of one of its victims. We already have the bullets and knives dipped and ready. I need you to get SWAT over to 1056 w 95th Street in Overland Park, Kansas it's an old abandoned warehouse. we don't know how many are in there so we will set up a command center a block away." I said as I velcroed the vest together and started to load the magazine into the pouches.

"Yeah, I'll get the center and SWAT to the location. I shall be seeing you soon." McCall said as he hung up the phone. I slid my phone into the front left pocket of my pants. I unholstered my pistol cleared the chamber and dropped the magazine and placed the magazine into the front right pocket of my pants. I grabbed one of the spare blood-dipped magazines and loaded it into my gun and chambered a round. I then re-holstered my gun as I looked around at the others. Once everyone was done putting on their vests and getting their weapons ready we all loaded into one vehicle.

Jake was driving, I was in the front passenger seat, Zach was behind Jake, Mariah was behind me, and Tim was in the middle. Jake turned on the lights and sirens in the car. He then began to speed out of the parking lot and gate. I turned my head back to face Mariah, Tim, and Zach.

"Okay, so I have no idea how many there are in there or what else could be in there. Our goal is still the same tho, we kill whatever demons are in there." I said as Jake made a sharp left turn throwing me into the window.

"Yeah, Kill!" Tim yelled loudly, everyone looked at him with Jake looking at him in the rearview mirror. I adjusted myself and shook my head at Tim as I turned back to face the front. I pulled out my phone and called Andre.

"Hello Comrades, what can I do for you today?" Andre asked as Jake made a sharp right turn jerking us around.

"Tim will be sending you an address I need you to get access from a navy satellite and use thermal to see how many bodies there are in the building," I said as I heard a ding come from the phone.

"Got it, I will need a minute tho. It's not easy hacking a Navy sat. Okay, there we go. It looks like four bodies, which are all in the center of the compound. I have never seen anything like these creatures. They don't have arms nor are they that big either." He said when Jake drifted a three-sixty turn around a roundabout.

"Yeah, they are called Titans. I haven't seen one in the United States in about four hundred years." I said as Jake pulled up to a large black semi-trailer that said FBI on the side of it in big bold white letters. "We are at the command center, send thermals to the computers here."

"Sending, be safe my dudes. Peace." Andre said as I hung up the phone and got out of the car. We walked over to McCall who was talking with the SWAT commander. Tim brought over one of the laptops and placed it on the hood of one of the cars we were standing next to. McCall started to inspect the thermals that Andre had sent over.

"According to the intel that Andre sent over there are four bodies in the building. Commander I want you to split into two teams Team Alpha will enter from the front with Agents James Dilsin and Mariah Harper, and Team Bravo will enter through the rear with Agents Jake Dilsin, Timothy Shepard, and Zachariah Collins. Your team will not fire a single shot, let the AIU agents handle that. Your weapons won't do anything to them it'll just piss them off." McCall said as the commander looked at me as I was putting on my radio earwig.

"Yes sir." The commander said as he walked over to his team. I turned around the computer to look at it. As I was inspecting it I could see the four bodies in a semi-circle as if it was a ritual. Zach walked up to me, he placed an FBI jacket on the hood next to the computer. I picked it up, and I started to put it on when the SWAT commander came up to us.

"We are ready whenever you are," He said as I finished putting on the jacket. I looked at him and smiled.

"I'm always ready to kill some demons," I said as Jake slung his arm around me and butted in.

"Damn straight, Killing demons is a passion of ours," He said as he pulled me in tightly. The SWAT team made their way over to us. They were split into two groups all armed with MP5 submachine guns. We all started our way down the street to the warehouse which was only three blocks away. When we made it to the warehouse team Alpha, Mariah and I lined up against the outside wall of the front of the building with our weapons drawn.

"Alaph team in place," I said into the mouthpiece of the radio earwig. A few seconds went by and I heard a response from Jake.

"Bravo team in place, ready to breach on your call," He said. I closed my eyes and took a deep long breath.

"Breach," I said over the radio as I opened my eyes. One of the SWAT members kicked open the door. We entered the building, SWAT cleared the first room and posted there. Mariah lined up against the wall to a door on the other side of the room. She looked at me with displeasure in her eyes. I rushed into the next room with her entering behind me. It was empty with a staircase in the far left corner. There were no other doors or passageways, the only way we could go was up. I took the first step up the stairs. One of the Titans poked its little demon head from around the top of the stairs.

It was staring at me as I made my way up the stairs. I pointed my pistol at it, and it tilted its head. I got closer to the demon it started to back away slowly. I jumped at me and I shot it once in the chest. It started to violently shake on the ground then it burst into flames. I heard multiple gunshots come from the other side of the warehouse.

"Two down," I heard Tim say over the radio.

"Make that three," I replied. I looked around the upper stairs room it was empty as if it was only the one. I slowly made my way towards the far right corner.

"scutum tuæ protectionis accipe," I heard from behind with a loud thud. I turned around and saw Mariah with her hands out in front of her. She had a clear blue oval in front of her and a Titan charging at it and bouncing off. With each hit, I could see the oval ripple. She looked at me, "A little help would be nice right about now."

I lifted my pistol and fired hitting the Titan in the side missing the heart. It turned to me and charged, I went to fire again and the gun jammed it slammed into me knocking me to the ground. It had knocked the pistol out of my hands. It was on top of me, I had my hands on its short chubby throat as it was snipping at me. I turned into my vampire with my mutated demon face and fangs. I throw it off of me drawing my knife. I chucked the knife into the chest of the Titan and it bursts into flames.

"Four down, all threats neutralized," Mariah said over the radio when I bent over to pick up my pistol off the ground. I unjammed it as I made my way to the charcoaled Titan. I bent down and pulled the knife out of it, I then sheathed it. We inspected the room and hidden in a small room was another set of stairs leading down. There was a light that shined up them, Jake was behind the light as it moved up the stairs.

"Is it clear up there?" He asked looking up at me from the bottom of the stairs. He holstered his pistol as he started to make his way upstairs. He placed his right on top of the newel at the top of the stairs. He shined his flashlight at the charred body.

"So I'm guessing we are having bar-b-que tonight?" He jokingly asked I just shook my head as I made my way downstairs.

"What? That was hilarious," Jake commented as he followed me down the stairs. Tim and Zach were inspecting the bodies. Zach turned one of the burnt demon bodies over. It had an ancient scribe engraved on its body.

"What the hell is this?" Zach asked as Tim approached. Tim looked at the scribe and read it aloud.

"Oi i ah warning a uls i near, da trian noan hell c caosg," He said as he looked at me. I looked at Jake who looked at Tim with a stern and unpleasant look upon his face.

"What does that mean?" Zach asked as I approached him placing my hand on his shoulder.

"It means This is a warning the end is near, there will be hell on earth," I said as he looked at me with discomfort. We all made our way outside where the SWAT teams and Mariah were.

"Find anything?" She asked me. I nodded and walked away. She followed after me. "Are you gonna tell me what you found?"

"Yeah we found Enochian engraved on one of the bodies, and it had a warning. It said there will be hell on earth." I stopped and turned to her, I looked at her with the same passion I used to look at her with all those years ago.
