PART 1
Jenna was walking around in a store looking for a few necessities. She was at the desert parlour trying to choose which cupcakes to take. After deciding Jenna turns around to meet a pair of eyes she hadn’t seen in six years.
”Luka,” She mutteres, acknowledging his presence.
”long time no see Jenna. How have you been?
”Good, and you?”
”Ive been well.” He says awkwardly.
”Good. Well, have a nice day.” Jenna says curtly and starts walking away.
”Wait!” He calls out.
”Yes?”
”I wanted to apologize. I shouldn’t have broken up with you the way I did. I should have handled it better.”
”Yes, you should have. But it’s all in the past now. I’ve found my happiness.”
”What do you mea-“
His question was cut in half the moment he saw a tall, handsome man walking towards Jenna with two girls following him.
”Oh there you are, we’ve been looking for you guys.” The man said whilst hugging Jenna’s waist.
”Hi mommy!” Both girls shouted, smiling widely at their mother.
”Hello my babies.” You greet, smiling back at them.
”Hey baby.” The man greets.
”Hey.”
”Did we interrupt?” The man asks, looking towards Luka.
”No you didn’t.” Luka responds. “By the way I’m Luka.” He said extending his hand.
”Nice to meet you, I’m Hunter.” He answers, shaking his hand.
”Babe, I’ll meet you guys at the car. I have to finish up with Luka.”
”Cool. See you soon babe. Come on girls.” He said taking both their hands and leaving.
”Who’s that?” Luka asks.
”My husband.” Jenna responds curtly.
”Oh… I didn’t know you got married.”
”I did, three years ago.”
”Congratulations.”
”Thanks.”
”Anyways one of my friends told me that they saw you walking around five months after we broke up with a pregnant belly.”
”Oh did they?” Jenna questions.
”Yes.” He answers.
”So?”
”So I was wondering whether I have a kid with you or not.”
”You’re asking about this six years later?” Jenna asks mockingly.
”Today is the day I found you so yes.”
”Mhm.” Jenna says.
”So, do we have a kid?”
”Yes.”
”Whats her name?”
”Krystal.”
”How old is she?”
”Five.”
”Can I see her?”
”No.”
”But I’m her father!”
”You cut ties with us six years ago. You broke up with me the day I wanted to tell you I was pregnant! I called you so many times trying to tell you but you didn’t pick up the calls. I’m sorry Luka but you’re six years too late!”
”Jenna don’t do this.” He pleads.
”Already done.” She responds pettily. “If you have nothing else to say, I will go pay for my stuff and go back to my family.” You say and walk past him.
”Jenna!” He calls out.
”Goodbye Luka!” She shouts out loud and disappers in the crowd.
I won’t let her leave without her letting me see my child. Luka thinks as he rushes through the crowd looking for Jenna.
”Jenna wait!” He shouts when he saw her walking towards her car.
”Luka I said no!” She shouts.
”She is my daughter! I have the right to see her!” He demanded.
”Should have done that when your friend told you that he saw me pregnant! Not after six years!”
”Im sorry okay! I didn’t know how to approach you after he told me that you were pregnant.” He exclaimed.
”You could have come up and said: Oh hey Jenna, remember me? Yeah I heard you are pregnant with my child and I’m willing to be there for her!”
”The timing wasn’t right.” He whispered.
”And what makes you think the timing is right now?”
”I’m ready to meet her.”
”You’re ready?” She mocks. “What about Krystal? Is she ready to meet her father who abandoned her?” She asks.
”Let me talk to her and find out.” He pleads.
”No. Now go back to what you were doing and pretend that I don’t exist.”
”But-”
“Goodbye Luka.” Jenna said, brushing him off and walked towards her car.
