"Unnatural"
Thursday 30th October, Day/Story #161
It was a beautiful day. Always was, with her. My perfect wife.
It should've been a beautiful day.
We walked hand in hand through the park. I tried to concentrate on the sunlight, the smell of cut grass. Her smile. The feel of her hand, that little bite of static.
I felt them pointing. Staring. One woman clutched her child tighter as we passed.
After dinner, our hearts broke.
"Effective immediately," the broadcaster said, "all unnatural unions are annulled."
Her cool fingers laced with my trembling ones.
Her eyes met mine, shimmering with sorrow that looked real enough to me.

Wonderful and thought-provoking Drabble, Morgana. I suppose programmed companions might fill that aching need for true connection that seems harder and harder to achieve in our short attention span world.
"That little bite of static!" lol
Poor, doomed (I assume) AI love
When robots start emoting it might be too late to ban them as unnatural. Great Drabble, LC!
She's a robot? Or something else that's not human?
This gave me chills. So much emotion packed into just 100 words.
Annulled huh. Love is love.
