It blocked the corridor before he finished the thought.
Unlike the Grays with their eyeless barked skin but familiar forms, the abomination now blocking the corridor was a grotesque headless conglomeration of its dead brethren. A bipedal tumor with teeth like a lamprey, it stared down Gunnarsson through pulsating red antennas feeling out the corridor’s intricacies.
“Fuck you,”
He fired.
It charged like a rabid ape, bullets glancing off its mutated hide and crushed him against the bulkhead.
