Good Evening, Miss Moralez,

Welcome aboard!

It's wonderful to have you here.

It's your first night, don't worry, and don't stress, you're going to do great!

You were specifically recruited for this position out of thousands of potentials. You have got this!

Do Not contact me as I will be unreachable.

I have retired. You were briefed on your duties upon hiring.

Remember, no loud noises at night, television and radio or audiobook must be set to soft play.

All Laundry and dishes, or housechores must be done during the day while Henry is deeply asleep.

Henry does not fare well with any type of loud noise during the three days for which you are hired per month.

And most importantly, Don't stress!

It is a simple job, Just remember the rules.

Rule 1: Have everything for the night prepped ahead and in the room while he sleeps. Prepare well.

Food, Towels, load the Roku, and get it ready so all Henry has to do is hit play once he wakes up.

Rule 2: 90 minutes before sunset is the cutoff for entering Henry's room.

Rule 3: Shut the door at 90 minutes to sunset, lock it, chain it, and drop the 4x4 across it.

Rule 4: No matter what you hear, do not enter the room. It does not matter what you think, what you hear, or what is said. 90 minutes to sunset is the cutoff for entrance.

Rule 5: Do NOT under any circumstances fall asleep during the night.

Rule 6: 90 minutes after the sun rises, unlock the room and check on Henry. He will be sound asleep.

Rule 7: Take that time to clean up the room, get things tidy, clean Henry up and change his sheets and reset for tomorrow night.

Rule 8: Clean everything and restore it to its original state. Exactly to its original state.

Rule 9: Keep the rest of the house completely clean and in the exact state that you arrived at it in at all times.

Rule 10: Do NOT leave the house for the three days that you are overseeing Henry. Make sure that you have everything that you will need ahead of time.

Rule 11: Sleep well during the day, get your 8 hours, no exceptions.

Rule 12: Leave no trace of yourself in Henry's home. Take all of your bedding, clothing, and personal items with you when you go home after the three days.

Rule 13: And most importantly, be absolutely sure that Henry Never sees you or speaks with you. He must have absolutely NO contact with you while he is conscious.

Rule 14: This is a confidential position. Do not communicate about it to anyone. To Henry and to the world, you have no connections to the house or the client. You are effectively a Ghost.

Rule 15: Perform the duties for which you were hired and nothing further. Do Not attempt to search your client's identity, history, diagnose his health or deviate from your set of duties. Do Not investigate the house or property history. Do Not search the house or property for anything other than what relates strictly to your job. The client is extremely private; respect his privacy.

Repeat these rules exactly, for all three days each month.

Congratulations on your hiring! Have a fulfilling & long-lasting career.

Signed H.

P.S.

As per the hiring contract, you will receive a paper check at the end of the three days of your monthly employment, each month.

The check will be sent to your home and will be addressed to Lila Moralez from Stateheim Holdings. If you need to make any changes to your address, banking institution, or name, please contact Stateheim holdings via email at: [email protected] .

I really enjoyed this read! The contrast between the friendly welcome and the severity of the rules is chilling, and the repetition and precision make it feel completely inescapable.
