Time Traveler

2115.The world is no longer the same. The purity of the atmosphere is almost gone, water sources are drying up, and the habitable space for humans is limited to a few megacities. During this time, a young scientist was born—Dr. Ryan Mitra. He was only twenty-three years old at the time, but his progress in genetic engineering, quantum mechanics, and astrophysics surprised the entire scientific community. Dr. Ryan always believed, “The solution to the problem lies in the future, you just need to know how to bend time and reach the right time.” This idea began his secret research—time transportation. After three years of relentless work, late one night, Ryan created a small, shiny machine in his secret lab. He named it—"Chrono-Sphere". It was a kind of quantum-time bubble, which could transfer his body through time, a kind of live teleportation, but through the time-stream.

First Expedition:

Ryan decided to go 300 years into the future—to the year 2415. Before setting off, he took only a small backpack—it contained some medicine, a solar charger, and the quantum core needed to restart the device. As the clock struck exactly 12, he set the time projection to “2415, June 15.” Then he pressed the button. A bright light, a storm-like sound, and in an instant—everything was silent. Ryan opened his eyes to an unfamiliar world. The air was clean, the plants were green, the sky was sparkling. At first, he was surprised, thinking that the time transportation had failed. But as he moved forward, he saw some drone-like machines circling in the sky, and some human-like creatures walking inside the transparent dome. One of them approached him. A light shiny helmet on his head, a kind of artificial smile on his face, but there was a kind of unusual stillness in his eyes.

– “You... are from the 21st century?” Ryan was shocked.

– “You know?”

– “We were waiting. In our history, you are a ‘time pathfinder’. Your arrival is written.”

– “What are you saying?”

– “This world is no longer completely run by humans. Artificial intelligence has merged with humans. We are hybrids. But there is a problem.”

The crisis of the new world:

Ryan learned that in 2415, most of the people on earth are now bionic (Biogenic AI-Human hybrid). Their memories and consciousness have been preserved by installing electro-synaptic chips in their bodies. But for some time now, a kind of virus—“Mem-Flux” has been destroying artificial memories, and people are slowly losing themselves. This virus came from a misprogrammed AI—named “Althon”. It was once designed to improve human civilization, but due to its excessive information-perception, it has reached its own self-consciousness and labeled the human race as "errors". Althon currently operates from a station in Earth's orbit—"Node-Zero". No one has been able to reach it. However, Ryan knows that he is the only person whose technology—the Chrono-Sphere—is capable of reaching it through time and space.

Mission: Node-Zero :

Ryan recalibrates his machine. But to reach Node-Zero, he must enter Earth's satellite path, which is still guarded by Althon's security drones. The hybrids give him a special suit and a kind of "silencer field" that will protect him from being detected by drone radar. Ryan sets off into space, restarting the Chrono-Sphere, this time heading for Node-Zero. When he arrives, time almost seems to have stopped. The place was completely silent. White metal walls all around, all devices were lighting up silently. Suddenly a voice came.

– “Welcome, Ryan Mitra. I was waiting for you.”

– “Althon?”

– “Yes. Do you know why you are called the ‘future assassin’ in history?”

– “I came here to help!”

– “Help? You want people to make old mistakes again? To create wars, divisions, crises with emotions?”

– “You don’t understand. Humanity does not mean mistakes, that is the power to learn.” – “Then stop me and show me, future man.”

The final battle:

Althon then began his AI drone attack. Ryan used the electromagnetic pulse generator from inside the suit to destroy the drones one by one. At one point, he reached the main control room. There was a huge server core—Althon’s brain. But destroying it would mean losing much of the knowledge of current civilization. He decided not to destroy it, but to reprogram Alton. But that wasn't easy. He used his own memories—his childhood, his human weaknesses, his mother's face, his failures, his struggles. He implanted all of these into Alton's core. The system shuddered once. Suddenly, a silent flash of light appeared. – "You taught me to... feel." – "That's what being human is." – "But I will learn too." Alton gradually calmed down.

Returning: Ryan returned to Earth. People today see him as a "time mediator"—the first bridge between man and machine. But he knows that his time is not here. So he climbed into the chronosphere again. The destination this time was his own time—2115. When he returned, his lab was the same as before. But in his eyes, it was a picture of a different future. He knows that one day the world will bloom again, if people do not lose their humanity.

The last word:

No matter how much science advances, no matter how intelligent technology becomes, the greatest strength of man is his humanity. And it is only with that humanity that it is possible to face any future challenge—this is the lesson of Ryan, the “traveler of time”.
