Those Sounds

A Thoughtpiece

The music of birdsong while you are out walking soothes your soul. This is one of those sounds that can bring relaxation and make your troubles disappear.

The sound of water running over rocks in a babbling brook as it flows from its source looking for the the river to join and find the sea.

You can gear the wind gently blowing through the trees and see the grass swaying moved by a subtle breeze.

Rain against a window pane when you are warm and cosy inside, but the sound is reassuring, knowing that nature is carrying on watering verges and gardens.

Then the music that you listen to, classical beauty or favourite love songs, can fill your heart and raise your spirits.

Music and sounds can surround us and take us into dreamlands for a few moments away from the humdrum of life.

This is a very soothing story as well. Good work. I could have used this story as a relaxation exercise when I worked as a nurse.

  • So blissfully wonderful! I loved it!

This music sound like I am in a wizard movie. I don't know if it would relax me. It make me think someone is ready to jump out somewhere. An engaging piece

Music is life, as you articulate well here. We'd be nowhere without it.

  • I loved waking up to this: it's quite ethereal, very lovely Mike!
