The Train to Nowhere
When nothing makes sense, what makes sense?
“ O - M - G! What's happening?!?” I exclaimed.
“This train has lost control! What do we do?!” A stubby woman shrieked.
Just then the train stopped after riding for what felt like an hour, and then a boy who looked to be about ten or eleven opened the train door and said, “It’s opened… “
In shock I said, “The best way to know where we are is to go out and explore, I guess.”
We all hesitantly stepped off the train into the the most beautiful place you can ever envision going to. “ Whoah, where are we? “ I murmured.
Recently while we were trying to figure out where we were, everyone saw an enormous shadow appear behind me!
“Oh no, why me!?” I asked myself. I gathered my courage to turn around to face the enormous figure.
I turned around tensely, and came face-to-face with a man that looked at me with burning rage. Struggling to speak I said, “Hello mister… Can I help you?”
In a deep voice he said, “Where is the conductor?!”
“Um, I'm sorry I don't know, but you can check in the train?” I said, calming down slowly.
He turned his head for a moment, and as soon as he turned his head I scurried away and the rest of our group followed, and we never looked back. As we started slowing down, I couldn't help but notice the same figure following us…
I yelled “ There he is!” and we all stopped in their tracks.
“Wait… We can’t outrun him. We just need to see why he’s following us, and why he wants the conductor.”A middle aged man said.
While the enormous man came closer I grew extremely nervous.
“Hey, what's going on with you and the conductor?” The boy my age asked the man. “
“Ohh, this old feller right here broke my trust back then, nowadays I'm just back to get revenge. That’s why you’re all here today,” The man said dramatically.
“What did he do…” I asked full of curiosity.
“I can't share that information. You might be like this conductor here and put all my information out, sorry kid,” He said to me.
At that time I noticed it starting to get dark so I asked Mr. Tall guy, “Hey its starting to get dark, where do you sleep?” Just then I saw him walking and he said to us, “Come. I’ll show you.”
He led us to this humongous palace. “Pretty small aint it?! “ Mr. Tall guy said. I stared at him with pure disbelief and with my mouth wide open. I gathered myself to speak.
“Small?! I know good and well you didn't call this place small, how dare you!!” I said with pure disbelief.
He chuckled, “I have plenty of rooms that you guys can sleep in, I'm sorry though if you don't have enough room. I have no hatred towards any of you,“ Mr. Tall guy said.
“What is up with this guy? “ I thought to myself. While I was in my enormous room that's probably worth my whole life, I saw something that shocked me. I saw an old paper with a mailing address on it… an Australian mailing address! “ Oh my gosh! I live in New Zealand! It's going to take days to get back home!” I said.
I ran as fast as I could out the door to find the others but when I went to all of their rooms they weren't there! My mind was racing. Where were they? All of a sudden my feet were lifted off the ground. I was flying…nothing was making sense!
At that moment I awoke, and looked out the train window to see our train falling off a bridge.
