The Return of Rübezahl
A Tale Inspired By The Music Of Amon Düül II

Introduction
I always loved this piece by Amon Düül II and always wondered who Rübezahl was. The Wiki entry tells us all about this mountain spirit or woodwose (I have never heard that word before.
The Return of Rübezahl
The princess and her handmaidens often wandered the forest and woods by the palace, hoping to spot fauns and even fairy folk. There was a rustle in the leaves of the trees; the weather had been so still for weeks, but the breeze was here, and she knew that Rübezahl had returned and she saw the wood spirit in the trees with a beaming smile.
"Oh Rübezahl, you are back and bringing us your colloing breezes, where have you been?"
"I have been the the far north and spoken with Odin and Thor, and persuaded them to give me breezes and winds, to share with you, ad to blow the leaves of the trees as they turn once more from green to gold"
"We are so happy you are back with us"
"I have given you a breeze but I must go and share with others, but you know I will be back for you"
They smailed at each other but could not hug because Rübezahl was a spirit and she was a princess, but they made each other happy, and that was all that mattered.
