"The blessed place is Palestine—where the first Qibla of Muslims, Bayt al-Maqdis, is located. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed in this holy mosque on the night of Miraj. He also made several predictions about blessed Palestine.

Present-day Palestine was a part of the ancient Bilad al-Sham. In addition to Palestine, Sham in ancient times included present-day Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made several predictions about the land of Sham—especially about Bayt al-Maqdis and its surrounding areas.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made many predictions about what was going to happen in the near future.

In a hadith, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Hour will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Muslims will kill them. They will hide behind stones or trees. Then the stones or trees will say, 'O Muslim, O servant of Allah! This is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him.' But the Garghat tree will not say this, because it is a tree of the Jews." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned Bayt al-Maqdis, or Palestine, as the land of the victors. That is, the persecution and killing of the Jews will one day end. A group of Muslims will fight them and be victorious. Hazrat Abu Umama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A group of my Ummah will be victorious over the truth. The enemy will have a feeling of superiority over them. No enemy will be able to do anything to them except famine. They will remain like that until the command of Allah, that is, until the Day of Judgment.”

The Companions asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Where will they be?”

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “They will be in the Holy Mosque and its surroundings.”

There will be a special group of people among the Ummah who will continue to fight for the truth. Allah will help them. They will continue to fight for the truth until the Day of Judgment. No one will be able to harm them.

According to the Hadith, this group will be from the region of Sham.

Mughirah ibn Shubah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A group of my Ummah will always be victorious over the truth.”

Thus the Hour will come, and they will be victorious.

In another hadith about their location, Abu Umama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"A group of my Ummah will be victorious over the truth. They will be powerful in the minds of the enemy. No opposition will be able to do anything to them except famine. They will remain like this until Allah's command, that is, until the Day of Judgment."

The Companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Where will they be?"

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"They will be in and around the Holy Mosque."

Syria will one day become a refuge for the Muslims. The city of Ghuta, which is located near Damascus, will be their military camp.

Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"The camp of the Muslims during the Great War will be in the city of Ghuta, which is located near Damascus. It is one of the best cities in Syria."

In another narration, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Soon you will be able to conquer Syria. When you are given the right to live there, you will make the city of Damascus your home. Because it will be a place of refuge for the Muslims after the war. And their camp will be a place in that country called Ghuta."

Jesus (peace be upon him) is in the second heaven. Before the Day of Judgment, he will descend to earth again. He will descend on the wings of two angels near the White Tower in the city of Damascus, Syria. He will again kill the Dajjal at a place called Babel Lud in Syria.
