The other side of the moon

Which side will you get?

By HermitsHousePublished 3 years ago 3 min read

The moon is a curious creature

A glowing orb in the night sky

It watches over us with its radiant features

And decides which dreams to grant with a sigh

Some nights it chooses to bring us joy

Filling our minds with pleasant thoughts

While other nights it plays with us coy

And fills our heads with terrible knots

But who are we to question its ways?

The moon has its own mysterious plan

It dances with the stars for endless days

And grants dreams as it sees fit, to every man

So if you find yourself with troubled sleep

And the moon is high in the sky

Remember, it's not for you to keep

But for the moon to decide, oh so sly

But even on the darkest of nights

The moon's gentle light will guide us through

And when morning breaks and sunlight smites

We'll wake refreshed and feeling brand new

So let the moon have its way with our dreams

For it knows what's best, it seems

And even when it grants us bad ones, it seems

It's all part of a greater scheme

So let the moon do as it will

And trust in its power, oh so still

For the moon is a force to be reckoned with

And its dreams, a precious gift.

But the moon's influence extends far beyond our dreams

It guides the tides and controls the seas

Its pull is strong and it can be seen

In the way it affects all living beings

From the smallest ant to the mightiest tree

The moon holds sway over all

It dictates the cycles of life, you see

And answers to no one's call

But the moon is not just a force of nature

It holds a special place in our hearts

It's a symbol of love and adoration

And it's revered in many different arts

Poets and artists have sung its praises

For centuries, it has inspired them all

Its beauty and mystery never fades

It stands tall, a glowing orb, over all

But the moon is not just a thing of beauty

It's a reminder of the vastness of space

And how small and insignificant we can be

In the grand scheme of the human race

So let us all look up at the moon

And feel its power, so strong and true

Let us be grateful for its boon

And all the dreams it grants to you.

But beware, dear reader, of the moon's dark side

For it has the power to bring us woe

It can drive us to madness, it's been said with pride

And make us act in ways we don't know

There are tales of lunatics and werewolves

Of people driven to the brink

By the moon's influence, their lives in turmoil

As they dance to its eerie, hypnotic link

So be cautious when the moon is full

And beware its eerie, glowing light

For it has the power to change us all

And bring forth our deepest fears and fright

But don't let this warning scare you

For the moon is a force to be reckoned with

It brings us both good and bad, it's true

But in the end, it's all part of its myth

So let us embrace the moon and all its power

And trust in its mysterious ways

For it has guided us for countless hours

And will continue to do so, for all our days.

So let us gaze up at the moon with wonder

And be grateful for its constant glow

It's a symbol of hope and joy, it's no blunder

And a reminder of the endlessness of the unknown

So let us dance and sing under its light

And be grateful for all it brings

For the moon is a magical, wondrous sight

And a symbol of the infinite, endless sky it clings

So let us all raise our voices and sing

To the moon, so bright and true

For it's a force to be reckoned with

And a dream-granting orb of wonder, it's true.
