My feet hit the pavement in controllable cadences. A chip placed at birth to shield from touch would be activating soon. The aegis field. People in the streets hugging. His house in view.
Two minutes left. On his porch, I find the plant, grab the key, and unlock his home. I scream his name. Footsteps running down the stairs. We see each other. His arms embrace me. I breath in his scent. We shiver. The aegis kicks in and we fly backwards. We see the silver field vibrate and lock in place. Seconds later, its invisible. Touch gone for forever.

Words have always been one of my things. I love them. I love to write about any and everything. I don’t like being in one genre, I like to write what I feel and hope that others feel it too.
