The village of hand walkers

The Beginning

Once upon a time, in a small kingdom nestled in the rolling hills, there lived a king who was known for his love of practical jokes. His jests and pranks were legendary throughout the land, and his court jester was always at the ready to assist in the planning and execution of each new scheme.

One day, the king decided to play a prank on his entire kingdom. He ordered the court jester to go forth and announce that the king had decreed that all citizens must walk on their hands for the next three days, or face punishment. The jester, who was used to the king's antics, dutifully went forth and made the announcement.

To the surprise of both the king and the jester, the citizens of the kingdom took the edict quite seriously. They all began to practice walking on their hands, and soon the streets were filled with people flipping and tumbling about, trying to perfect their hand-walking skills.

The king, watching from his castle, began to feel a twinge of guilt for having caused such confusion and inconvenience for his subjects. He ordered the jester to go forth and announce that the edict was, in fact, a joke, and that the citizens could return to walking on their feet.

But the citizens, who had grown quite fond of their new hand-walking abilities, refused to give them up. They petitioned the king to make hand-walking a permanent part of their culture, claiming that it brought them a sense of freedom and liberation.

The king, who was not one to back down from a challenge, decided to put the matter to a vote. The citizens voted overwhelmingly in favor of continuing to walk on their hands, and thus, the kingdom of Hand-Walkers was born.

The king, who had never intended for his prank to have such far-reaching consequences, was humbled by the determination and spirit of his subjects. He ordered the construction of hand-walking parks and training facilities, and even went so far as to require all courtiers to be proficient in hand-walking.

In the end, the kingdom of Hand-Walkers became known throughout the land as a place of innovation and progress, and the king became known as the "Hand-Walking King." And though his court jester was constantly on the lookout for new pranks to play, the king was content to simply rule over his happy and unique kingdom.

The moral of the story is that sometimes, even the most well-intentioned jokes can have unexpected and far-reaching consequences, and it's important to be prepared to roll with the punches and make the best of any situation. And also sometimes, be careful what you wish for.

Bonus Story

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there was a small village called "LaughingVille." The villagers of LaughingVille were known for their joyous nature and constant laughter. They believed that laughter was the key to a happy and fulfilling life.

One day, a dark cloud descended upon the village. The villagers were no longer able to find joy in their everyday lives, and their laughter had disappeared. The villagers were at a loss as to how to bring back their laughter, and so they decided to call upon the wisest person in the village, Old Man Chuckles.

Old Man Chuckles, who was known for his endless supply of bad jokes, listened to the villagers' plight and promised to help them. He gathered the villagers together and told them the most terrible, cheesy, and groan-worthy jokes he could think of.

At first, the villagers were not amused, but Old Man Chuckles persisted, and soon the villagers began to laugh. They laughed so hard that their bellies ached and tears rolled down their cheeks. They laughed until they couldn't laugh anymore, and when they finally stopped, they realized that their laughter had returned, and with it, so had their happiness.

The villagers thanked Old Man Chuckles for his help and promised to never forget the importance of laughter in their lives. From that day on, Laughingville was once again filled with the sound of joyous laughter, and it remained that way for all eternity.

The moral of the story is that sometimes the best medicine is a bad joke. So, don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself and the silly things in life. It will make you feel good.
