“Remember, Mr. President, these are refugees from South Africa escaping prejudice. Correct?” Elon said.
“Correct, Mr. Musk,” the Trump animatronic replied.
“Very good.” Elon spoke into his smartwatch. “We’re all clear to enter.”
The doors to the Oval Office flung open, and in marched more than a dozen Elon Musk lookalikes. They spread throughout the room, surrounding Elon and the Trump animatronic.
One stepped forward and placed its hands on Elon’s shoulders.
“Well done, E’lon,” it said. “Our takeover can now begin.”
E’lon’s face lit up with excitement.
“I can go home now?”
The lookalike smiled.
“But we are home.”

Haha! Looks like the clones have more to learn, lol.
They may be home but it is not Elon’s, LOL. Back to South Africa not alien planet.
Elon won't like that last line. lol. All he wants to do is go home. If he takes JD Vance and Trump, I'm sure we can pull funds together for that to happen! Well done on another entertaining and funny part to this series!
If they are home, we are in even bigger piles of do. oh deah/
Oh shit what did it mean by we are home. So ominous. Loved it!
This is great, Stephanie, I can see a whole novel or at least novella coming out of it in a sequence of drabbles.
A very scary future indeed!
Nice twist and a fun read
