The Golden Key
From A Painting By John Bauer (1882-1918)

Introduction
This is inspired by a painting by John Bauer of a young girl with a key meeting the Norns. The picture was shared by the Enchanted Booklet here:
The music is "Nornaljóð – The Song of the Norns" by Lluc Tyrson
The Golden Key
In the field of bluebells by the sparkling stone, the young girl stands with her golden key. Today, she meets with the Norns.
The Norns are Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld, who weave the threads of fate and tend to the world tree, Yggdrasil, ensuring it stays alive at the centre of the cosmos.
They have given her the golden key of destiny, with words of wisdom, to direct her steps in life.
She was sent here by her grandmother, the witch of the village, who told her to stand by the sparkling stone in the bluebell meadow at midnight on All Hallows Eve, and the Norns would come and bestow on her advice and secrets with a golden key.
Her grandmother told her that the same thing had happened to her as a girl, and her grandmother (who was the village witch then) had directed her to the meeting place where the Norns bestowed their secrets.
She knew that her future was to become the village witch when her grandmother left this realm, and she now had the secrets of the Norns and the golden key, which she would use to help the people of the village when she took he grandmothers place.

A story that should be passed down in your family for there are lessons to be learned. Good work.
Family knowledge used to be passed down the generations commonly, now it's mostly a thing in stories. Great piece. 👏👏👏
You want to know something weird, I was writing the finishing touches on my Waterfalls keyhole, and the mermaid key was Chloe's proof she would be the next leader of the enchanted kingdom. Her Grandmother give her the key.Great story, you made here
