June 30th, 2019
You find yourself stuck in a room filled with darkness with only a television filling its space. Startled you can only hear a quiet lucid voice speaking to you
"Oh hello there, I didn't really recognize you.. you're probably wondering why I'm not here where you're standing, standing here in your present time. Well, I guess there is only one explanation that I can give you as you watch this I, Kayley Saunders is no longer alive, and I know you're probably wondering why? What happened to me? And Why are you here? What role do you have to play in this? Well, I'm glad you asked.. Instead of telling you, I just want you to look deeply into my eyes.. and I want you to think of something that'll motivate you, something that makes you strong and eccentric." Your eyes slowly start to become captivated, almost hypnotized before you knew it, you felt a strange sensation take over your body as you leer towards the darkness where your body seemed to be compelled to be swallowed whole towards it
A few moments later you wake up in an unknown location, but something bizarre had just occurred.. you weren't in your same body, instead, you were trapped in darkness in Kayley's body.. You wanted to say something, figure a way out of this loophole but each effort was useless. It was as if fate was attempting to keep herself, prisoner, suddenly her thoughts were halted when she felt a sharp pain through her head.. placing memories from this woman's past.. each was more vivid than the others.
Kayley was a 28-year-old woman who spent the majority of her life going to college so that she could learn the ways to become a professional writer
She also occasionally played guitar and sang beautiful music.. she could manage to do it all.. she was very talented at such a young age
Kayley loved her family very much, they were her rock but unfortunately for her, her mom died of cancer a couple of years ago. Whilst her dad remained alive but dealt with a substandard illness that he's been battling for years..
Things just seemed to gotten worse for the both of them.. when that day happened..
*That very day, when everything changed*
It was May 28th, 2018.. The day that Kayley's future had slipped away
It was another day at work that she managed to go through as she always does. Her dad kindly decided to pick her up, as long as she would drive them home which she happily obliged, as they were traveling through traffic something tragic happened to them, some mistook it for a car crash but there was no car involvement, instead she felt her eyes drift off to unchanging darkness leaving her car to suddenly crash towards a tree where two bodies were found dead... Kayley's dreams, everything she worked so hard for faded away like a shadow. Quickly opening your eyes, you found yourself glancing towards the ghost in front of her, "what happened to your father wasn't your fault.. What happened to you wasn't your fault either. Accident's happen, it could've happened to anyone"
"I know.. but I lost my dreams, I lost everything including my last bit of family that I had left.. because of it" Your frown deepened in despair "I know but sometimes you can fix it.. you can rewrite your own destiny.." she just arched her eyebrow, puzzled "h-how?" you smiled sharply "simple" you pulled out a heart locket that was glowing in your own hands "you're granted one wish, and whatever you've wished for will come true, I assure you" she hesitantly took the locket in her hands and slightly curved her lips into a smile accepting her choice
"I wish to have my life resorted before my death, but I want my dad to live in peace in heaven" The locket started to move in a rapid movement until the both of you witnessed a loud explosion allowing you to return home and her to return to her life, to do what she loves where she includes you in her final piece to her newly published book.. thanking you for giving her a second chance at life.. a second chance to have a purpose
The End
