You probably know about The Cyclist. Maybe you've seen him on TV or online. The hero crusading for bikers and pedestrians everywhere.

His origin story, of course, goes like this:

Danny Chandler was a regular teenager a few days away from getting his driver's license. He probably daydreamed about driving his future car with a cute girl in the passenger seat.

He wasn't thinking about traffic laws, bike lanes, or anything like that.

He was riding his bike, headphones on, no helmet. A blue pickup truck made a left turn without paying attention and plowed into Danny.

They said he'd never walk again. But they didn't know he'd ride everywhere instead.

The doctors discovered during surgery that parts of the bike had fused with Danny. It was too risky to remove them.

He came out of the operation as The Cyclist, the hero you know and love. A human-bicycle hybrid on a mission to save lives.

He transforms between man and bike, thwarting potential accidents while punishing careless drivers.

But what you don't know is what happened to the truck driver who smashed into The Cyclist.

They don't talk about him on TV.

They don't talk about me anywhere.

That's right. I drove the truck. I made The Cyclist. And nobody ever thanked me for it.

Bicycle fatalities are way down. The world owes me for him. I did my time. I've admitted I should have been paying closer attention.

I should have noticed the idiot kid who wasn't paying attention either. I shouldn't have hit him. But he shouldn't have been where he was while I was turning.

Nobody ever talks about that either. You only know his side.

It's all about to change.

I created the Cyclist by accident.

But I'm going to end him on purpose.
