As the first light of dawn broke over the horizon , Romulus and Athena were seen running down a hill, breathing heavily and sweat on their faces. Their coach shouted behind them, telling them to run quicker. But their legs were heavy, and they were very tired—they hardly noticed his words.
When they finally got to the bottom of the hill, they fell down on the closest rock, trying to catch their breath. As they breathed in, they suddenly remembered: they had magic classes today and were not meant to be so tired from exercise. But they were too tired to worry about what might happen.
After a little while, they slowly stood up, thanking the coach for the workout. They went their separate ways, heading back to their own camps.
While taking a bath, Romulus felt a strange coldness a chilly wind that felt out of place . He thought it was just the breeze, not knowing that the magical coach was passing through the camps, creating gusts of wind as a fun kind of discipline. Romulus found out the hard way when a strong wind blew him out of his bath, leaving him half-dressed and embarrassed while his classmates laughed. He turned red, quickly put on his robe, and joined the others.
When everyone stood in a row, the wizard started his lesson. "Each of you can control a special magical element," he said, walking in front of them. "Your powers connect with your feelings, and they appear when those emotions are strong."
Romulus looked at Athena, curious about what the wizard said. Then, the coach looked straight at Romulus, smiling a little. "I heard your power has already started to show," he said. Romulus felt uneasy under the coach's look.
"What were you feeling when it happened?"
Romulus bowed his head, feeling guilty and heavy-hearted. "I was mad... I apologize. I won't let my anger control me again."
The wizard laughed softly. "No need to say sorry. You're not in trouble. I just wanted to check something I heard." He looked around at the group. "Has anyone else noticed their abilities getting stronger?"
The group stayed quiet, looking at each other nervously.
"Alright," the wizard said. "I want each of you to think about a strong feeling—like love, hate, happiness, anger, jealousy, or pain. Use that feeling to bring out your magic."
As he spoke, the air around them filled with energy as one by one, the students began to show their powers. Some had trouble controlling it, while others used their magic easily.
Dimitrios, with angry eyes, stared at Romulus. His power, fueled by strong anger, burst out in a strong wind aimed right at him. The wind blast rushed forward, but before it could hit Romulus, magician stopped it from hitting its goal by simply waving his hand.
The students' wild magic started to get noticed by others. Feeling the increasing risk, the magician quickly ended the class. "That's enough for today! Don't try this without the right teaching, or you could really hurt someone."
But Dimitrios wasn't finished. As the group broke up, he gave Romulus one last venomous look, angry look and a mean smile appeared on his face—he only had one idea in his head: to make Romulus feel pain
