Chapter 1: The Sinister Pact

Cairo, 1995

On a dark winter night, four university students gathered in a crumbling apartment in Sayyida Zeinab. Between glasses of cold hibiscus tea and nervous laughter, they dared to challenge the forbidden: summoning a spirit using a Ouija board.

"This is just a game!" Adel said, his hands trembling over the wooden planchette.

But what answered was no ordinary ghost. A shadow darker than the Nile’s depths hissed through the room, its voice like air escaping a drowning man’s lungs:

"You will host my guests... or I will feast on your children’s souls for generations."

Chapter 2: The Seven Guests

Present Day, Cairo – 2023

Every night, the doorbell rings seven times.

1. Dr. Karim (The Drowned Physician)

Appearance: His gray suit clings to his waterlogged skin like a second layer of rotting flesh.

Smell: A nauseating blend of hospital antiseptic and Nile sewage.

Quirk: When he laughs, brackish water mixed with blood dribbles from his nostrils.

The doorbell rings. Mama opens the door. Dr. Karim stands there, his bloated fingers leaving damp prints on the doorframe.

2. Nabiha (The Eternal Smoker)

Appearance: Her eyes glow like smoldering coal, her fingertips blackened from endless charcoal handling.

Sound: Her coughs mimic the creak of a rusted coffin hinge.

Secret: She died from gas inhalation, so she obsessively keeps her hookah lit.

The doorbell rings again. Nabiha steps in, exhaling smoke that twists into serpent shapes around Adel’s neck.

3. Mahmoud (The Fire Player)

Appearance: His body is a map of burn scars, fresh blisters bubbling as he moves.

Action: Adjusts hookah coals with bare fingers, the stench of seared flesh filling the room.

Truth: Perished in a nightclub fire—now he compulsively ignites matches.

Third ring. Mahmoud enters, lighting a match under the dinner plates to "warm them up."

4. The Three Children (School Fire Victims)

Appearance: Their faces hide behind half-melted school uniform masks.

Game: Toss a charred ball that screams "Help us!" on impact.

Rings four to six. The children skip past Mama, their sneakers leaving ashen footprints.

5. Amina (The Jasmine Bride)

Appearance: A mud-stained wedding gown, her hair woven with wilted jasmine.

Scent: Flowers and embalming fluid.

Fate: Suffocated in a discarded wedding freezer.

Final ring. Amina drifts in, her damp curls sprouting algae onto the couch.
