The Attic

old house (pexels.com)

The boy climbed back up the stairs to the attic the next morning and the stone was not on the shelf for he thought that was where he put it. The stone is now sitting about the halfway point right in the center of room. The boy feels a tremor through his body, and he closes his eyes just for a minute. He opens his eyes and the light at the end of room where there seems to be a window that was covered in dirt and dust seems to be somewhat clearer today. The boy goes up to it and looks through the window and sees an image. He turns away then looks back and out the window again. No image. The boy thinks. He goes back to the stairs and back down to the living room. He goes and sits in his chair by the window, and he looks out and it is the same scene as what he saw out the attic window he supposes.
