A Bizarre Night Write
The dog got up, it’s little clawed feet tapping along the floor until they came to the carpet, where the feet were muffled. Slowly, the dog walked across the carpet and onto the wood floor once again, coming to an abrupt halt near the bed of a 14 year old girl. The dog laid down, causing the bedframe to slightly shake as her body settled, squashed comfortably between the fan and the bed. Suddenly, a noise outside the girl’s bedroom door made the dog get up again. The voices, both male, seemed to grow further away, across the hallway to the girl’s brother’s room. One of the voices grew louder. The bed creaked as the girl hastily put her notebook and pencil away, searching the bottom of her electronic candle for a moment before shutting it off with a small click and placing it on her desk with another creak from the bedframe. Footsteps could be heard going back downstairs.

The Truth of Aphrodite
“Not all love stories have a happy ending as they do in Disney movies and fairy tales. The beautifully dark fables of the Grimm brothers tell the ugly truth: that life is never one straight happy flat road. This road has twists and turns, slopping hills and steep jagged cliffs, life and death. The little mermaid never had her happy ending with her sweet Prince Erik. When she tried confessing her love to him, she faded away into bubbles. Life is ugly, dark, and revolting at the worst of times. There are people hiding in plain sight who enjoy raping, torturing, and killing others. They crave the sweet release it brings, a high like nothing they have ever felt before. For this feeling is the closest emotion they can get to love.

Life Could Be A Dream
Virginia 1954 The copper penny sat motionless, awaiting the charge of the steam-driven beast. The Atlantic Coast Line was rushing down the tracks where Neil had laid the coin only minutes before. He felt the tension rising as the locomotive blew its horn repeatedly and got exponentially closer to its target. The horn screeched and growled like the scarlet macaw at the zoo. Backing away from the tracks, he sat down in the long grass of a nearby embankment, awaiting the impact.

Linear
It was a joke to take math, but he was not laughing. In high school, he had had some success with the work in his classes, textbooks and assignments. He was confident then; now, it seemed as though the material professors put on their black or white boards was some sort of secret code he could not break. He was not laughing.

So, I’ve been backpacking the Scottish countryside for the last few weeks. When I started, I just picked a small village in the highland. The village of Torridon sits at the base of the mountain Liathach in the Torridon Hills. Honestly, it was the perfect place to start my journey. I bounced from village to village seeing all the sights, meeting some of the kindest and most hardworking people.

Love Trials: How Deep Is Your Love?
I stood there glowering at the father of my child with my arms folded. If our daughter wasn’t in the next room playing with his stepkids and his wife I would of slit his throat and bounced. However, the witnesses that consisted of innocent children I didn’t want to taint and the fact I had love for this man because he was Malubay’s father albeit I was no longer IN love with him; were his saving graces at the moment. So I stood there imagining all the different ways I could not kill nor torture him. “Who gave or how did you get this information?” Alejandro asked trying to stall with the explanation I was there for.
