I Never Asked You Out: Part 13
Caro snorted sarcastically. "Miscommunication... Please... I've known you too long to believe that shit you just spewed." "Ok, well what's wrong with me then? Am I not allowed to be friends with you anymore?" Lexa protested quietly.

Natural Magic Chapter 10
Read Chapter 9 Here Listen to This Chapter Here When her fabric magic class began. Ayan was unsure of her teacher. Mr. Depping was tall and frail looking, with white curls and a slightly bent back. His Faraday shirt was off-white and ill-fitting. His orange and white tie was smudged with dirt, and his trousers were wrinkled with tattered hems. Worst of all, the coarse fabric from which his clothes were made grated in her ears. Ayan had never been wealthy, but she had bartered with the local Xurugwi temple for cotton, linen, and sometimes satin scraps that she could piece together. Surrender
My fear of the ocean was ephemeral as the love of it took place. I fell in love with the lacy waves that softly crashed as they danced closer to my feet, the sound of the water that echoed my heart and mixed with my heartbeat, creating a beautiful melody, and the breeze of air that took fronds of my hair and made them into lashes that beat my face and blew above my head. I loved everything the ocean was to give. I wished I could stay here forever.

Her first class was algebra, which she unfortunately shared with Miriam. Ayan had it as well, however, which made Miriam's presence more tolerable. Then she had history of the Major Continent, which she and Matsias had both requested, in the hope that they would have it together, only he was in the afternoon section. After that, she learned Miriam was also in her Nefralean Literature class. Ayan wasn't. Her final class before lunch was electrocasting in room 301B. She had done two circuits around the third floor before someone caught her attention.
