The Man From The Shadows
Raleek was up early and out in the snow training when Olive woke up. She sleepily went into the kitchen area, made herself a cup of hot herbal tea, and then walked to the window to watch. He was too focused on his slow graceful movements to realize that he was being watched and she let a sly little smile cross her lips. He had been back for a week now and every morning he was out there training as if he expected more trouble. At first, it had alarmed her a little, but then she realized that it was just him. It was his routine, and of course, Wolfme pointed out the fact that he was an assassin so, it was completely natural.

SIX Needing a ride Beth had called Jim to come and get her, but he was on his way to a press conference and couldn’t. So, she fell back to her mamma for a ride to her interview. But her mom couldn’t make it until after noon so she had had to call the interviewer who seemed to understand and pushed back her appointment until three that afternoon. By the time Beth’s mom arrived, the rain had stopped and the sun had come out. Beth loved the sun it kept her warm and put a smile on her face. When the sun was out, she was eager to get things done. Loaded with plenty of energy and not near enough time to get things done. It disappointed her sometimes when it was sunny and hot but Jim didn’t want to do anything because he was to hot and complained of fatigue from the sun. She had thought at times there might be something wrong with him, but he just said it was the heat and it was nothing to worry about. Many folks say opposites attract, and in this case the two of them couldn’t be any farther apart. One hot, one cold makes for an icy hot relationship. It also means someone is always annoyed by how their body feels.

Recess Part II
A light citrus odor wafted through Sam’s bedroom window as early morning light crept across his face, waking him from a deep sleep. In his midnight haste to conjure a structure he had forgotten to add curtains on the windows. His stomach rumbled, he ventured to where the kitchen should have been and found nothing but an empty room. No stove, no counters, no food. Just a rectangular room with four walls. He wasn’t surprised. When he magicked the building into existence, he was so tired he could barely hold his eyes open, but Rodger insisted on something grand. The only grand building he could think of was the central council building from back home and he had never been in the kitchen.

The Cheese Maiden and The Wino
N.B.: I had a dream on the night of 1/25/22 about a society built around cheese. I found it so humorous that I decided I would spice it up with a plot and call it my own work, even though it was story handed down to me by the divine fates.
