#3: The Hollow City
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. This was the only room in the building that had a window. It was special to her, for many reasons, but the main one at this point in time was because it gave her a glimpse of the outside world. It wasn't distasteful or chaotic, it was a somber yet peaceful sight to see. Buildings that were collapsed and in ruins that were scattered across the vast area of the edge of the city had grass, vines, and floral plants growing from them. It seemed like plant-life and animals were growing on the concrete carcasses of an era that just ended. Nature knows no obstacle in its conquering of the world. Such a beautiful yet sad truth. The young girl could see what looked like cars, bikes, and even trolleys scattered throughout the streets ahead of her. Shattered glass from the car and building windows reflected numerous colours of the rainbow. What she did not expect to discover in a world now peacefully quiet was a new range of colours. The shattered glass of the buildings scattered in the streets reflected the entire rainbow, and then some that no two words could explain. The fact that, despite the world rising from the ashes of the one she once knew, is something the young girl couldn't stop thinking about ever since her arrival at the man's building.

Love Beyond the Pain
Can you imagine what it would feel like to have someone touch you and know that you love them? That feeling made you so scared that you had to try and pack it away, hide it from your heart. The feeling is seared into my brain. The first time Ethan had placed his hand on my leg, my heart knew, it called out to him. Causing my body to feel his touch like I had never felt anyone’s before. It was electric, running straight from his fingertips to my soul and then to the heat between my thighs. My brain on the other hand didn’t want anything to do with the feeling. We had been hurt too much and too often in our lives to let another person in. It felt that it could just pack it up and hide it in the corner. That’s what it tried to do anyway.

Before the Debate.
The school bus was just pulling into The Okafor's Driveway after a very stressful day in school. The Okafors were a set of triplets and their older sister. When they got off the bus, there was enough space for me to stretch out my legs and so I was always happy when we got to their house. My house was only 10 minutes away from theirs though.

Melon Soup
It was an interesting Sunday afternoon. This one wasn’t like the others. Today we had a lot of visitors and luckily my dad was in the mood to entertain visitors. How did I know he was in the mood ? The atmosphere was different! He was excited and telling everyone about all the interesting things that happened in the past week. He was also cracking a lot of jokes. However, there was a reason for his excitement this afternoon.

Neighborhood Watches
