His eyes filled with tears and he wiped them away only for them to fill again. Again and again and again and again. None of them would bring him back.

Cosmic Crossing
It's quite hard to leave what one considers home and move on to another and start life anew. This is a story with such a familiar scene that all would say is just like a dream. However, the ones who are starting a new life are not humankind but instead another beyond our cosmic time. The lives that are leaving come from a planet in dire need of help with little to guide them, and no plan ahead. They leave each their own without friends and assistance, but fate may just grant some a chance of a lifetime.

Dear Felix
A wolf howled, the sound low and haunting. Soon, it was joined by more voices. Dear Felix looked at me, his eyes wide. The night's festivities had just ended, but the staff and the man of the house remained in the gardens, soaking in the moonlight and the stories of the stars. All others had returned to their homes around the village. It was growing lighter out, but the moon still held its proper place. Exhaustion had taken hold of many of us prior to the sounds of the wild animals but now we were all alert.

Bleakburn
Animo was perched on top of his head, and despite Haganto’s quick pace, he didn’t seem in any danger of falling off. Not long after Alanus’s song last night, Animo unexpectedly climbed up to Haganto’s head and stayed there. Even though Grimoire spoke a few more times, Animo just dug into his head each time and didn’t move. Animo probably would have stayed there all night if Haganto hadn’t plucked him off so he could lie down to sleep. And even then, Animo didn’t go back to his pocket, instead choosing to sleep on Haganto’s cheek until morning, when he quickly climbed back up again.

The Black Ibis Case - Chapter 5
The poorly lit streets felt comforting and familiar. The dimness illuminated the streets enough to help ease my mind from what I had witnessed, but the events of this night just kept streaming through my mind like a movie reel looping repeatedly, recalling something so vivid and real yet, fuzzy, like a dream.

Miracle’s Curse
"You look handsome." The red haired woman, that Adrian had learned was named Sara Felle, watched him in the mirror, her tiny mouth curved pleasantly. He didn't like the red and gold coat she had given him, or the pin of a Phoenix. But he studied his face in the mirror as if he had never seen it before. His thick, messy brown hair gave his face character. He noticed the crook in his nose, as if he had broken it before. His cheekbones were defined, but mostly from malnutrition. His pale skin made his dark green eyes stand out. Not for the first time, he asked, "how long was I asleep?"
