One Afternoon at the Aquarium
The Sapphire Seas Aquarium was visited by people from all backgrounds - residents, tourists, friends, families, couples, young, elderly, animal lovers, people who were indifferent to animals, those who were interested in sealife and those who simply wanted to pass the time. One thing was certain - everyone who set foot in the aquarium remembered their visit there.

It's the Dawning of the Cage of Aquariums
I can't believe I am in an outdoor flea market, it's so humiliating. My keepers are moving to the Bahamas and leaving me to some whiney kid most likely. It's sunny out and I am a loner. I requested a tank cleaner, but I shut my trap when I overheard my "family" talking after dinner and the choices they were going over were seriously evil. Luckily, the insanely bad violinist "Maestro" Mary who was perhaps twelve overheard her parents and older brother, Jerky Joe arguing over what to do with me. "Dad just flush him, sell the tank and get it over with, what's the big deal?" Maestro Mary ran in and hit him in the back of the head. He swung at her yelling, “Get away from me you little freak!”

Rich Neighbour, Poor Neighbour
As it was Thursday, Claude wore a red tie. Picking what suit to wear was the challenge. Should he wear the burgundy suit that he uses for outside wear or his teal suit for when guests come over. In the end he went for his yellow suit. The one that his neighbour’s wife knitted for him, it was warm and comfortable.

The Tomato Juice Scandal
Rupert Smithson looked down at his sparkling gold watch, muttering quietly under his breath. It ticked unusually slowly this morning — none of them had shown up to the meeting yet. Was this not unacceptable? Didn’t they know he knew where they lived? Right down to the color of their doors?

The Mysterious Gift
I apply the final touch to the small Christmas tree, then switch on the lights. The tree is only small, but as a newly single mother, it is all I can afford. I observe the two small bags of wrapped presents under the tree there aren't many, but I know that Charlotte and Rose will be grateful for them. There are only three presents each in the bags, that is the price families pay nowadays for being on a low income.

Charlemagne's Game
A cold current wakes me. I slowly open one eye to see who disturbed the water. Just an angel fish looking for food. I open the other and adjust myself to match the coral I’m leaning on. I haven’t seen any sharks since I was put in this tank, but I know better than not to expect one. That’s what I learned when I was little and lived on the reef.
