Symbiotic: Chapter 21
Chapter 21 Sara continued her ever downward trek through tunnels and caverns. Her path was silent, as nothing lived in these tunnels but the Greatworms. And she had not run into a Greatworm in some time. The caverns she had last traveled through looked like a Greatworm had made it’s nest there, but the worm itself was long gone.

True Peace for Soldiers
Old white men, they were, their bodies a rolling landscape of skin pulled tight and fallen loose. Pockmarked with moles and freckles, splotches of red, white, blue, and green, colors and shapes that hide behind the skin and fat of younger men. When they smiled, their eyes would become lost in the wrinkles and cracks of their brow.

Symbiotic: Chapter 18
Chapter 18 (Chapters 16-18 mainly deal with Sara Bloom Leveling up, choosing a Class, and updating their Character Sheet... Repeatedly. Since scanning through Stats and sheets are not everyone's choice of a good time, these two chapters are kept purposefully short., and can be skipped over if they are not your cup of tea.)

The Color She Chose
By the time she finished mopping the main floor, Cindy’s back ached. She rubbed her sore hands together and paused. The white floors sparkled like never before, and the entire house was finally spotless. Her stepmother and stepsisters had been gone for two consecutive days, which meant she could actually clean without them walking through mud or spilling champagne everywhere.

In the Nursery
No one is too happy about working at that time of night, but at least the job pays well. And the other thing – the thing that I do not share with any of the other ones here – is that I get to work alone. No one to bother with about birthdays, how their kids are doing in school, what did you think of that show last night (the one that I did not watch and never would). No, I liked it up there at night. At least I did for a while.
