The End
C’mon Pete think…it’s got to be one of these roads. Pete Kodrasov had been driving through the Pine Barrens so long that the cool shadows of night crept from their hiding places within the surrounding forest. Usually, the sensations of this type of moment would fill him with joy. The high heat of a summer day bleeding away into cool darkness, a breeze biting through opened car windows, the rich smell of pines and mile after mile of isolated byways; these were things that brought Pete a sense of peace, helped him unwind and refuel his creative reserves. But today, with only one small corner of the book left to complete … today they were obstacles to his goal.

Truth
The Queen’s words about burning Isolde alive hung in the air and in Isolde’s mind. Again, she half expected that her undertaking of becoming a vampire would be viewed poorly, but she hoped that letting Maleth know of her plans would have smoothed things over. Clearly, it either wasn’t enough or didn’t matter.

Unpredictable.
The dull thrumming of musical instruments vibrated up through the floor of the rented tavern room. Lively banter rode on wafts of breakfast aromas into the open window and intermingled with the pleasant spring breeze. All of which culminated to juxtapose the mounting dread weighing down Tomalin’s insides. He glared at the wrapped, brown, paper box resting between him and Dorn in the middle of their shared room. The morning light from the window prodded the unknown package as the gentle wind nudged the nearby tree, casting faded, undulating shadows.

Bundle of Wonder
I remember the day this strange box showed up on my porch. I had received several other packages from multiple websites that same day. It had been a sad rainy week and I decided to check out a few of my local businesses which my credit card will be feeling the pinch over the next few months. This box was odd looking because there was no return address and when I picked it up it felt light as air. I remembered shaking the box and thinking maybe it was a tiny ring, that I did not recall buying but again I was in a fugue state while purchasing.

Realm of Kyrre
Emily was startled to attention by the sound of her doorbell ringing. She quickly tossed aside the book she had been lost in and sprang to her feet. When she got to her door and opened it, no one was there, but on the ground lay a small package the size of a ring box wrapped in brown paper. Naively, Emily picked up the package and returned to where she had been sitting on the couch. “This is rather strange,” she thought to herself. “I probably shouldn’t open it, but what could be that bad and fit in a box this small?” Emily slowly, cautiously, pulled at the tape holding the paper on the box. The wrapper unfurled to reveal an ornate ring box with beautiful scrolling patterns carved on all six sides. There was a slip of paper placed neatly under the box. Emily pulled it free to see if it contained answers to the mysterious package. The note read simply: “take care to mind your words and follow your heart.” What a strange and ominous sentence Emily thought. What could possibly be in the box to warrant such a warning she wondered. The only way to find out was to open it.

Dreams
Everybody has their own intuitions about dreams. Some think they are just a recap of the day you had, creatively melding everything we know, telling a story using recent experiences. Some are lucid dreamers; they are able to dictate almost anything in their dreams. The more experienced lucid dreamers know exactly when they are about to take control in a dream, as they can program themselves to have something out of the ordinary show up in their dreams, notifying them that lucidity has begun. I have been a lucid dreamer for as long as I can remember. Determining reality from fantasy used to be easy for me until late.

Centaurs Lover
I looked around the room, clip clop, clip clop, clip clopping my delight! A picturesque white china tea set, with little bunches of purple flowers wallowed in the sunlight on the table beneath the window. I sighed with pleasure stroking down the thick hair on my arms.

Catch Me If You Can
Kersali was used to the cold, dark sewers. She didn’t even notice the smell anymore. Her boots splashed through the sewage as she glanced over her shoulder, a crooked grin making its way across her lips when she caught the gaze of the leader of the Asalis crew.
