The Woman of the Emerald Wood. Top Story - November 2021.
In old times when magic and folklore was rooted in the forests, there existed a woman who aged according to the cycles of the moon. She lived far away from the kingdom that claimed to rule over the land, far from the shadows that hovered over the souls of men. One could only find her if they were to venture past the mountains shaped like two sleeping bears and into the Emerald Wood. However, only a few would ever encounter her, for she was a solitary creature who remained veiled to all of those who she did not wish to reveal herself. Her existence was a myth that had been whispered about for generations. The Woman of the Emerald Wood was as ancient as the Earth itself and yet her wisdom waxed and waned throughout each month with the moon. When the moon was waxing, she was the Maiden, whose innocence and curiosity flowed into the forest, filling it with wonder. When the moon was full, she was the Mother, whose fertility and nurturing presence brought life, growth and abundance to the animals and plants in her wood. When the moon was waning, she was the Crone, whose wisdom was sought out and avoided. In this incarnation, she brought death to those who grew weak with time.

Part 1 It’s not easy finding love in a town full of supernaturals but if you know what you are looking for then you should find the right one for you, I found a great guy a few years ago named Grant Jones; I mean sure he howls at the moon and has to hide in the woods once a month but he is still a great guy. We met when I was representing his company in a lawsuit, he owns a security company with a few of his friends from college and someone was trying to stiff him on a payment. It was love at first sight for me at least but that is what happens when you’re a hopeless romantic like myself; I was on my way home from picking up food from his favorite restaurant and something felt off. I didn’t know what I was going to be walking into but I really wasn’t prepared for what I saw, he was in the living room with one of his clients and they were in a very intimate position. I didn’t think about anything but getting out of there, I ran to my car but he was right behind me, he didn’t even bother to put on any pants, he just raced out after me, I didn’t want to hear anything he said so I took his voice with a spell.

The Underground
The air was crisp as it brushed my cheeks, you could tell summer was coming to an end when my leather jacket stopped being enough to keep me warm on my late night escapades. The city of lights was fairly quiet for a friday night, I looked around to make sure the coast was clear before hurrying down the dark alley that lay in front of me. My helmet tucked under my arm I shuffled pulling my gloves off and shoving them in my back pocket.

The Gorgon Desolation
SUMATRAN OCEAN Summer, 1E 194 Surrounded by the darkness of the night, clouds swathed the sky, blotting out all light from the stars and the moon in the depths of the heavens above. Eight great Nardic ships sailed the rough waters of the Sumatran Ocean that separated the Nardic Isles from the Gorgon Desolation in the mainland of Aerbon to the North. Thunder boomed and lightning cracked, shattering the silence of the night whilst the sea rumbled and roared as foamy waves crashed upon the warships. The Nardic fleet sailed from the port of Baiern on the northern coast of Dusseldorf; the largest of island of their Isles in the South and closest to the orc-lands they sought out. The ships had been sailing for nearly a week and each of the men aboard fought their hardest to make it as far as they had in those rough waters. Two ships had already been lost to the sea-god, Urasmus, and the weather threatened to take even more sailor’s lives with the ships they manned.

Silent Knight
It was late. I should have been asleep, but I had a secret duty to attend to. Phillipe had been limping each night as we stopped to rest. He was a magnificent horse; strong, tall, and swift, and he served as steed to Mikhail, the knight I squired for. Mikhail loved that horse, and so I did all that I could to keep him healthy. I outfitted him with different shoes, I made sure he had a healthy diet, and I even took to carrying some of the saddlebags as we marched. But when all that started to fail, I used magic.

Dystopian Gods of Amara
Asherah was still sitting in her palace room surrounded with emptiness and memories of times gone by. She fiddled with the necklace around her neck – her birth right and felt the power surging around her hands. She remembered the good old days of when she, Yam and El first met, and how they had saved the universe. The first war.... Her reverie broken; a booming knock came to the door.

The Story of Helel (Chapters 1&2)
1. A MEADOW OF WILLOWS There was nothing, and then there was everything. An intelligent being, born not as an infant nor as one wise with age, opened his eyes for the first time. His senses tingled with curiosity as the world introduced itself. The new sounds graced him in passing. The sensations were glorious; a rush, if you will.

The Stars In Her Eyes
She stared at the stars above her, relishing in the feeling of gentle winds and the sounds of soft crickets. She named all the constellations one by one. The Twins. The Branches of Virtue stretching across the Arms of the Lovers. Sync had often wondered about the lovers in the sky. How they could always found each other in their infinite lives, even though their love was forbidden and they were separated time after time. When Sync first heard it, she laughed. What a silly story, in all the world how were they able to find each other? It seemed impossible and subject to belief. At least that’s what she was told back when she was a servant--a slave. There was a time where she believed such things, but since her first shift in her life, Sync Roastleaf wasn’t quite sure what she believed.
