A Lucid Dream
I found myself laying on a cold block of ice drifting with nothing but water encompassing me. I felt impeccably small, and for a moment, I viewed myself from a bird's eye view, staring down upon myself, just a speck of white floating in the calm sea. I abruptly came back into my body and jumped to my feet.

Line of Constant direction, Chapter 1
Chapter 1 Anchor Up The security guards on patrol turned off the last light in the corridor. Xu Heng was the only one left in the office, facing a table full of messy case files and materials. The fast food box delivered by the takeaway had already cooled, and the characteristic greasy smell of the gutter oil after it had cooled drifted away, filling the small, closed compartment.

The White Oak. Top Story - August 2022.
The repeater grew heavy in Quinn’s hands. Pressed into a corner of the room between the side wall and a chipped and worn bureau, he tensed and relaxed his hands in turn to try to alleviate the perceived heaviness of the paltry 9-pound piece of wood and steel. It wasn’t actually heavy at all, he’d just been waiting in the same position for too long. Quietly waiting. Patiently waiting. Almost motionlessly waiting.

Alanus
Unfortunately, finding Agron was much easier said than done. Haganto sighed as he poured some rabbit stew into his bowl, causing Animo to climb out of his pocket and sniff after he jumped onto his arm. Even though they had only met each other a few days ago, the baby weasel’s ribcage was no longer visible and he had enough energy to not constantly need to nap throughout the day. Haganto had even managed to comb out his matted fur, though there were times he had accidentally been too rough, causing Animo to squeal and struggle till Haganto calmed him again. Animo didn’t make any moves to escape though, and he was pretty happy to play with Haganto later so the half-ogre figured he had been forgiven.

Horseshoe's Luck
A newt? He turned me into a newt! Of all the foul luck. He had to sneak into a warlock’s abode, when he could have just picked another house or just not bother taking to burglary. What did his mother say? Oh yes. ‘Braydon, stealing will catch up to you and make you small’ or something of that nature. He usually just ignores his mother anyways, but a newt? It was a cosmic joke, it had to be.
