Snowtime
A Story Every Day in 2024 Dec 14th ?/366
"You can't just stop! You have a deadline to meet!"
Susan knew the truth of what Arthur was saying but she thought Damn it! and walked out anyway. Arthur had been insufferable for days, pushing her and pushing her and she'd had enough.
She left the house, entered the cool, winter air. It was starting to get dark, light retreating behind the houses. Snow started to fall and she looked at the scene around her. Calming, serene, timeless.
She hoped Arthur wouldn't follow her. She just wanted to be, just for a while.
The book would just have to wait.

If I said, I didn't relate to this, I'd be lying. It's dark, I've just set up my Christmas village and realised that I've not written my story today. Thought I'd better get to it. Wouldn't want to fall before these final few hurdles.
