Snowflake

For The Vocal Snow Macro

I don't know who made this or thought it was a good idea to build it in these snowy wastes.

They told me it contained secrets and it would show me unimagined treasures and I believed every word they said, some people are very persuasive.

And now I am lost in this Snowflake Maze and the snow is falling on me and I am getting cold. The cold and the snowflakes are paintings pictures in the air in front of me.

Are these the secrets and treasures that I was told about?

One thing is for certain, although it took me an age to find this place and get to it, I know now that I will never leave.

I have not seen or spoken to any other human in over a week and I know that I will never see another human being again unless that is what everyone becomes on the other side.

The walls of the maze are my prison and the falling flakes of snow are my revelations. I see white shimmering angels and devils as my hands turn blue and my red blood starts to freeze.

There will be no stains on the floor of this maze unless carrion creatures start to tear apart my body once I have vacated it.

Everlasting sleep is calling. My body is numb, I cannot move. In this winter silence, the snow keeps falling.

Once I was the colour of flesh, now I am the colour of snow ......

A maze in which always turning the same direction does not help as the falling, blowing & drifting snow keeps changing the passageways (if not blocking them completely). Perhaps the secrets & treasures are what you discover once you've vacated your body.

  • Oh wow, that was so tragic! I cannot stand the cold so this was extremely scary! Loved your story!

Another wonderful story, Mike. I loved the buildup to the final line: Everlasting sleep is calling. My body is numb, I cannot move. In this winter silence, the snow keeps falling. The last line is both beautiful and haunting. Once I was the colour of flesh, now I am the colour of snow .....
